Last year the 100 loss orioles came to town and torched us in a 3 game ass kicking. Detroit did the same. Thats baseball baby. This team just has our number.
If we get Brantley back, then we only need 2 more bats. I don't really think we can count on these young players in the playoffs. I think they will just be easy outs most of the time.
I guess Jake is just going through his sophmore slump. The one homerun is a bit disappointing. Maybe opposing pitchers have figured out Jake at the plate and he needs to make an adjustment?
I think people are vastly underrating the surgery he went through. I didn't expect much from him this season. If the Astros are good with a player striking out 30% of the time might as well call up Leon.

This. This was a major surgery and he isn't an established player yet. He missed a lot of time as well.
It's a fair point but, looking at his game log since coming back, he did really well when he came back and then hit a rough patch starting July 12th.
