Whatever. **** letdown series. It's probably hard to get up for the A's especially playing in front of 10 people in the stands. Looking forward to the deadline and hopefully some help with another bat, bullpen, etc.

It's those stupid drums. Hopefully the A's move to Vegas and leave the drums in Oakland.

I understood the series before the break, fatigue, injuries, etc. There is no excuse for this series. Just pathetic.

So how many times have the astros lost series to sub teams vs above .500 teams?

Nats take a 4-3 lead on a 2 run bomb in the 8th. Six more outs.

It's baseball. The best team doesn't always win each series. It is why the playoffs are such a cr*pshoot.

Astros don't want home field advantage against the Yankees in the playoffs

I do wonder if they want to avoid the WC and play Minnesota as the second seed? Given what a crapshoot the playoffs are, it isn’t a bad approach even though I would prefer home field throughout.

My guess is the organization is fairly indifferent…

and the Dodgers go down tonight to the crappy Nationals 8-3 at home. That’s two straight losses to the Nats at home, funny game

Starters Montas and Garcia pitched around 5 innings each, one threw 78 pitches and the other 108. The previous game, the A's starting pitcher pitched only around 70 pitches in 5 innings. On average starting pitchers in 5 innings should be pitching around 95 pitches. Top of 3rd, Maldy on 2nd and Yordan on 1st with 0 out Chaz had a 2-0 count, flies out. Pena, a 2 pitch out then Bregman flies out on a 3-0 count. This is where managing could help by not letting the Stros lose focus. Astros are trying to glide through this series instead of focusing on the game.

Garcia is a big time home run giver. Every time I see him in a game, I see opposing hit HRs and his stone face reaction. Garcia and Urquidy should pitch in the home run contest for Yordan in 2023.

Relegate us. We don't deserve a baseball team!

Is this the thread for self loathing and fear p*rn?
It’s baseball. That’s why they play 162 of these things. It will be alright.

I understand the it's a long season people. But losing 6 out of the last 8 to Oakland is pathetic. Guess it's good we don't play them in the postseason. Lolzzzz.

Every year we get swept by a **** team. It’s like a rite of passage to the World Series. Don’t look that up. Also we’re winning today.

We have a WS contending team for the 6th straight year. Losing a few games to the likes of the A’s is no big deal, but I am concerned about our injuries and that our lineup is not 8 deep like it has been the last few years. We need to add at least one plus bat this year. Bregman’s inconsistency is concerning, Gurriel making a comeback is unlikely, Myers does not look good at the plate, Maldi is Maldi, don’t know if Brantley will be a factor. That is a lot of offensive holes to be concerned about. It will be very disappointing if we don’t sign at least a 1b or OF bat, preferably both. The Yankees are going to sign a bat and probably a pitcher. I think we can get the likes of Bell and maybe an upgrade or insurance OF without gutting our future. Rentals aren’t that bad either, if Leon and Diaz are left untouched.
