Considering he refused to honor the subpoena and provided no defense (his lawyers called 0 witnesses), kind of hard for him to not be found guilty.

Are you opposed to people who commit crimes being held accountable?

At the end of the day, no matter what your party affiliation is, if you can’t see something wrong with people storming the nation’s capital to kidnap/hang the Vice President…something is really loose in your head.

That’s just my 2 cents. Thanks.

Jeffrey Clark, Trump’s Man at the DOJ, Now Faces Ethics Charges for ‘False Statements’ in Draft Letter on Election Outcome
    Matt NahamJul 22nd, 2022, 11:20 am

    https://lawandcrime.com/2020-electi...atements-in-draft-letter-on-election-outcome/

An environmental lawyer with no experience in criminal or election law who rose to national recognition because of his apparent willingness to pursue Donald Trump’s election fraud conspiracy theories to the ends of the earth now faces ethics charges.

The specification of charges said that Clark violated D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct 8.4(a) and (c) (“in that Respondent attempted to engage in conduct involving dishonesty, by sending the Proof of Concept letter containing false statements”) and Rules 8.4(a) and (d) (“in that Respondent attempted to engage in conduct that would seriously interfere with the administration of justice”).

The “Proof of Concept letter” is the draft letter that Clark put together in a bid to urge states Trump lost to “send unauthorized slate of electors to Congress,” according to the ethics charges.

In October 2021, the Senate Judiciary Committee referred Clark to the D.C. Bar for a professional conduct investigation. That referral mentioned both the “Proof of Concept letter” and the professional rule prohibiting “conduct that seriously interferes with the administration of justice.”

“Clark’s continued pursuit of his ‘Proof of Concept’ letter despite being told repeatedly by DOJ leadership that his election fraud claims were baseless may implicate each of these rules,” the referral said.

Reuters reported in March that Rosen and Donoghue cooperated with the D.C. Bar Office of Disciplinary Counsel investigation into Clark. In June, the FBI searched Clark’s home, reportedly as part of a criminal investigation into attempts to overturn the 2020 election.

I thought Trump only hired and worked with the best and brightest? An environmental lawyer with zero experience in criminal or election law? That’s who u have fighting your battles?

it’s like getting Susie from down the street to do your taxes…Susie’s 12

That's why Rosen, Donahue, Herschmann and others at DOJ said there would be mass resignations if the Clark was named AG. Clark like several other "lawyers" working for Trump should be disbarred for their pushing these claims.

If Susie was willing to lie on the tax forms and so Trump could get a massive return he very well might.

selective prosecution based on political ideology is banana republic stuff

Holder and Lerner both held in contempt of Congress, why were they not charged?

Bannon asserted executive privilege like hundreds have before him, and rather than have the courts adjudicate that, they charged him with a crime.

The federal code is hundreds of thousands of pages and a DC jury will convict any Republican on the slightest pretense. DoJ can find a crime and take out anyone they don't like. GOP defendants know they have no chance with a jury, so they usually just take a plea.

I’ve been following all this but I have a question. If I want to distract from these hearings, or things like Republican forced motherhood for raped 5th grader laws, or Republican Senate candidates, or Republican congressional candidates, or Republican ideas for fixing inflation, or Republican policies in general, which AOC thread is the best to bump?

A good one is to bump my AMA trans thread and tell me to kill myself.

Mods don't care about that apparently

This is BS. You know it or you would if you thought about it.

Do you believe every criminal case tried in OK or TX or North Dakota is completely driven by right wing politics and that jurors can't weigh evidence because they live in a red state?

Bannon could have produced a defense as he promised, but he didn't.

Lol. Steve isn't going to back down one inch... Until given the chance to produce a defense, and then he won't even offer one let alone testify.

    What a clown.
