He had an ERA of 5.95 in his first 4 starts with K/9 just below 6. Since then 3.60 ERA with K/9 of 7.32. Career stats prior to this season, 3.55 ERA with K/9 of 7.45. I'm sticking with that it feels like and the stats back it up that he's been a lot closer to normal since beginning of May, than the season stats indicate and the April stats indicate despite having a bad start here and there (which is normal).
One team will win 2 out of 3… the BBS will meltdown at whatever game(s) the Astros lose. Just need the Astros to stay healthy, start working in LMJ and Brantley, choice reinforcements via trade, and get to the post-season.
The Astros have been whopping @ss since 2017 and are playing a game against a team 10 games beneath them. Maybe the Astros lose all three games. Maybe they win all 3. There are enough splits in baseball, that there will be patterns that form that don't mean anything. Acting like Urquidy's record this year against Seattle, who has owned Seattle prior to this year, has some meaning about whether tonight will be tough or not is a meltdown. On tonight's game, the Astros being a much better team is likely the predominant factor on the results besides for randomness.
so if someone says “tonight may be a tough one because Seattle has had Urquidy’s number this year”, it’s a “meltdown”?
I think it's more of a meltdown when someone writes "Pressley blew a 3 run lead and should never close again".
Meh. I think a post like that is half frustration and half humor. Obviously not to be taken seriously. So to me, it’s not a “meltdown”. Often times, getting worked up over a silly post and going as far as to call it a “meltdown” and possibly even be bothered by it is actually more dramatic and probably closer to a “meltdown” than said silly post was.
I will give the Astros a pass if they get smacked tonight. Double header, coming down from all the emotion they expelled yesterday, then the travel. Rough way to start back up.
And one of those 4 starts was giving up 6 runs in 4 innings vs Seattle, he also had really good outings vs the Angels and Toronto So I’ll stick with the numbers posted earlier lol In any case, we about to sweep these dudes like they are the Yankees
I'll take postponed due to the long odds. Baker need some sleep. He sounds like me at game time when I HAVE to go to bed.
Jesus Christ Dusty Chas is hitting .361 with an OPS north of 1.000 vs Diaz and sits If he isn't going to play vs LHP while Brantley is still out, not sure why he is on the team I bet he is in the lineup tomorrow vs the RHP with his sub .600 OPS against them
He did the same thing all last year with Castro. So maddening. And Chaz is the better Lf with a fly ball guy going too.
