I don’t have a strong opinion either way. Figure worst case scenario is what happened and then Montero has to get 2 outs before he gives up 2 runs. It’s a calculated risk but under these circumstances I’m fine with taking that risk. Judge could have bounced into a DP or Montero could have come in and given up 3 runs and we lose. But you can rope the dice up 5 in the 9th in game 2 of a double header all you want with me. Or go with Abreu to start the 9th. Or bring in Montero to face judge up 5. Those are all defendable options. What he did in the bottom of the 9th inning of Game 1 was just dumb. I won’t defend that.
I have no idea how any of it works anymore. I’ve heard so many different iterations of what goes on with who decides what that I’ve given up. All I know is BB was gassed and it was obvious. Despite what we’ve seen the Yankees can hit so you were playing with fire facing Judge.
I love watching new york trash having to slink out of Houston after again being shown they’re not on the Astro’s level.
Right, Bielak pitched really well, but was throwing puss when Judge stepped in, the HR was predictable.
