Lol. Are you drunk? You routinely get wrecked both here and in the Texans forum by everyone. Not just by me. It's telling that you have nothing to offer because you keep bringing up Trump to me for whatever reason when I routinely bash him here. Put the bottle down and tuck your tail between your legs like always. You aren't even an Astros fan. Just a worthless troll

You are walking on thin ice criticizing Saint Dusty. He can do no wrong. It's an article of faith.

Nope... do you think Dubon would have succeeded in getting on base or winning the game? Pretty sure the odds were against that.

So, if Dubon makes the 2nd out, you put Yordan in for Chas and now the bases are loaded with 2 outs.

By PHing Yordan, they knew NY would walk him and it gave the Astros 2 at bats with the bases loaded rather than one.

My bad memory recalls many winning walks the last few years.

What advantage is there to having the bases loaded with one out vs guys on 2nd and 3rd with one out. The marginal might get walked or hbp I suppose?

It's not like we needed three runs. having bases loaded is meaningless. Dubon is the guy I want to punch hit WITH in that situation. not pinch hit FOR. It was ridiculous. He never strikes out. He's exactly who you want up there with a guy on third and less than two outs.

Trade Odo for baby Biggio and stick him at first, cause Yuli with a bat in his hands is rough...

You’re forgetting the biggest part, runner on first allows an inning ending double play to be turned.

Also makes every out a force out.

The Yankees have to throw strikes to the batter because they absolutely can't risk walking them. That means the two batters should get better pitches to hit than they would otherwise.

Did you have confidence that Dubon would have reached base? Or, was he most likely to make the 2nd out?

By batting Yordan they insured Dubon would not make out #2. And the clear advantage with the bases loaded rather than 2nd and 3rd is obvious. It forces the pitcher to throw strikes.

Their setup men pitched 3 innings with 0 runs, 1 hit, 0 walks and 3 Ks.

Desperately need Garcia to give us 6+ strong innings.

Really helps if the offense shows up too.

I think this is the best lineup we can currently field against a RHP. I think. Which shows we need 2 more bats. Maybe Brantley is 1 of them, maybe he isn't. I don't know that I count on him to be that. Need a 1b and a corner OF or DH.
