I think there's a truth to that Vanity Fair article. The right uses humor far more to mock its enemies, whereas the left has fallen into this defensive trap. And that might not be a compliment to the right as these are serious issues. But in the court of public opinion in courting the middle, I think humor will win over seriousness on most issues.

What he calls humor I don't. It's really that simple. Making fun of others for their opinion doesn't require anymore critical thinking skills than a young bully in a schoolyard.
