I replied that I consume a steady diet of what most reasonable people would agree to be liberal and otherwise left-leaning media sources. after all, it takes a lot of digging in those left-leaning fields to find the right-wing needle in the haystack

AOC is extremely intelligent, but she is gets portrayed very negatively by the right wing media. I think they see her a big threat, an attractive minority intelligent woman with potential for broad appeal. So they want to spin her into this crazy unhinged radical sex object bimbo. I think it works because most people haven't seen her debate or speak. Once she tones things down on her more left leaning talking points and shifts more to the middle, she will be a force to reckon with. Ironically, the right have kind of created her into a threat when all she was before was a nobody house representative from nyc.

There would be no "squad" without the right. They empowered them by putting the spotlight on them. They were junior reps with little power. Nobodies. The left didnt' create them, the right did. Their political careers benefited from it. That post article about her being called a big booty latina, also mentions Pelosi's "Kangaroo" Jan 6th trial, which I think speaks to the credibility of the author of the article. Someone sexually harassing her on the steps of the capitol building and she being upset with being sexually harassed may play well in the right, but I don't think mainstream Americans will take his side on that. It was pretty disgusting way to talk to a woman. Mainstream Dems don't want her to be a candidate, and she is far from ready. She's too self-righteous right now and as she matures and gains experience I think she will better connect with a broader spectrum. She's far more intelligent that people give her credit for, and usually when you underestimate people like her, they come back to surprise you. In away, she's taking pages from Trump in using her Charisma combined with radical politics to get her voice out there and build brand recognition. It's smart. She's a household name. And in 15 years, that will serve her well.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you think she is really attractive, there is no way you would be reaching this hard for her if you weren't crushing on her and she was a republican. I'll give you one thing, only one... She had potential, I don't mind her being radical but I hate that she is only radical when its good for her party or her benefit. She plays the woke game hard and leaves human rights out the door if the human in question does not align with her political beliefs. For that she has proven to be an awful person and no matter how much she "changes" she is not fit for any political role left or right.
