Who is the Rocket's 3rd best player?

    Jalen #2 and Jabari #3 are pretty well the foundation for whatever is to come. I think if you ask the Houston Rockets to go win a big 3 competition those two are in 99.9% of our projected lineups.

    So who's your third?

    Excluding Gordon, I look at Porter first. Then probably Tate.

    Who's the second best player? I'm not sure there's a clear hierarchy beyond Gordon at the top and everybody else below. Nobody's really a finished product yet and everybody has clear weaknesses that can be argued as to who's better than who. I'd be inclined to say:

    Gordon
    Tate
    Green
    Porter
    Sengun

    That's probably where I'd put the top 5. Only the top 2 have proven they can be full-time starter level players consistently for a whole season. The rest is based on the flashes of potential they've shown and either of the 3 could move up and down this list on a night to night basis.

    Currently, if you factor in both sides of the ball, KPJ is probably first, Green a close second, Sengun third, and Smith fourth.....but I'd expect that to probably change going forward if Green ever learns how to play defense or develops into more of a combo guard (it seems inevitable that one or both will happen) and as Smith starts to hit his prime.....and if he starts to land his shots the way we all think he can, he could move up the list before the season is over.

    Defensively there's no question, Smith is by far the best defender on the team.

    Problem is how many minutes can the Rockets play Sengun during the
    playoffs and still be successful?

    Reason I wouldn't rely on Sengun greater than 3rd best
