So proud and appreciate minorities that are drop kicking wokeness and having success ! I celebrate them winning..I’m a minority as well being mixed and this speaks to me especially

I understand. Characteristics of NOT really caring is indicative of wokeness. Here is a black company having success and they didn’t need the non sense. Megan Rapinoe certainly didn’t lose sleep that her association didn’t prevent hundreds being fired in a failed woke embraced strategy…Here is a black company that realized a market and embraced it and has nothing but success all while excluding woke ideals. So because of that wokes are upset understandably.

If you love and appreciate comics, you absolutely know Tyrone Magnus - and he absolutely approves! this is consequential and huge for the company. Great message as well!

 

Eh, we'll see how 'anti-woke' it is. If it has even one political message in it, like, for instance...how the main character has a cross on his outfit...then it really is just as woke as anything else. Changing out one political view for another isn't 'anti-woke'.

The author going on about how 'anti-woke' it is and saying things like that is just as much pandering and it definitely works for crowdfunding. Lots of crowdfunding projects flame out though, most do, even those that get millions of dollars of support because it's one thing starting a business and another running it, especially one in a creative medium because in any art form hardwork isn't enough to get you success. Quality is. Writing is an artform that the best writers take a lifetime of honing and crafting, I'm not exactly sure Mr. July has done that.

His attempt isn't the first 'Anti-woke' comic book either, the others have failed after the initial hype because the actual quality of the thing mattesr.

In the scheme of things I'm not sure why this matters as much as you think it does? That there is a base for conservative stories? Sure there is. It doesn't prove that 'woke' things fail, it proves that there is an audience of a few 30k so or people that are interested in reading a comic written by a conservative dude.

As for the whole 'black' thing like...there are other black successful comic book authors, he's not breaking new ground here and he'd be the first one to tell you to stop with the whole 'black' thing. He's not interested in being the best black comic book author, he's literally said that himself, but I hope the whole 'pro-black' thing is consistent when a black author that doesn't agree with your opinion is creating things and that you'll celebrate and be happy for that person too.

 

It’s a breath of fresh air that we are having a comic bit not catering to wokeism the way marvel has …the point is I want minorities to succeed including blacks because I’m a minority myself …A large segment of the populace hates woke ideals and this success and the fact it’s embraced by Tyrone Magnus is indicative of that
