I don’t think you know what I think but I will tell you my sister is gay. I don’t hate her and she wasn’t kicked out of the family structure even tho we don’t agree but at the end of the day she is still my sister, shes gay but she also isn’t woke and Megan Rapinoe does nothing for her …maybe in your haste to continue anti capitalism you fail to understand what this thread is about. Woke athletes associating a product does NOTHING for the product. You can’t embrace hating capitalism with association with capitalism and thinking that concept works. At the end of the day what did Megan Rapinoe do for Victoria Secret besides the net effect of hundreds of unfortunate people losing jobs after a year of business association? Absolutely nothing. NOTHING means NOTHING !

You think the reason VS is going down because they are using fatter models who are less pretty?

 

The strategy they are utilizing and the association of business partners in the sports realm has done NOTHING beneficial for the company

 

The company was in freefall before they made those changes. Last year their net sales was up 25% over the prior year and they returned to profitability. So I am not sure the data agrees with your assessment.

 

And yet Despite recent successes, Victoria’s Secret is forecasting its current-quarter revenues numbers down — in the range of $1.4 billion to $1.49 billion, compared with 2021’s first-quarter sales volume of $1.55 billion..

So yes there is no happy consistency happening plus hundreds have lost jobs just recently

 

Yes but that's still far higher than before. 4-5% decrease yoy for retail isn't crazy given the economic environment we are in and retail is the first to get cut as you head into a recession.

 

Here's the reality.

VS made a dramatic change to align their brand better with their customers, sales shot up through the roof by 25%, and now you have to look for some kind of minor decrease to point and say, "see wokeness is bad for business!!!" @ROXRAN faints at this.
