He needs to get those pudgy little fingers of his off the KFC and onto a basketball about 15' away from the rim (ft line) and PRACTICE!!!

People were raving about how beatiful and pure his shot was in college. The question is: is it nerves/conditioning or did something change? I think the first option is the way more realistic one, so I am not too worried. People were also saying, that every shot of his looked exactly the same, no matter where he was and if there was a defender - because he was working hard on it since he was little.

His spin move was nice - it won't shut up the people, that think he has really bad handles. He didn't get a lot of seperation with it. He also crossed his man over and got to the rim through traffic and made the tough shot - he got to the rim, but he didn't really get by his defender. The thing is, he doesn't need a ton of seperation, since he is so tall. And the thing is: he is capable of these kind of moves. He hals also shown behind the back dribbles to fake out a guy in college - he just rarely does this. Why? because he considers his jumper a good shot, even with a defender right there, and he doesn't feel completely comfortable with his moves yet, so he rather doesn't use them in a game. But I still think, that his handles and dribble is just ok - not good but also not as bad as a lot of people say.

i dont think Dr Lucas taught anyone how to shoot(hit) in his entire life except by accident...
    should be fired on spot

name 3 players in the last decade that improved their shot after becoming a rocket

and i dont just mean improved from the year before because we know well 3pt% fluctuates...before citing some fake examples be sure to check players past or attribute a natural shooters development/progression from year to year to lucas

so if a player that shot 40% on 3s 4 years before he became a rocket and shot 35% one year before becoming a rocket becomes 40% shooter again in houston it doesnt mean it was due to Dr Lucas influence...

    is this 3 players?
and how he exactly he improved his shot ?

as much as i recall jalen was 35% 3 pt shooter in g league and now hes 34% 3 pt shooter

are you perchance talking aestethics or mechanics or something else?

may i kindly ask you sir what is your prove for this?optics aestetics mechanics? insider info?
cause jalen shoot greater percentage in g league 36% vs 34% in nba

as per KJ, as far as i know, he wasnt a 3pt shooter before playin in nba(attmpted only 9 shots in 4 years-total) so ill give you that hes a competent shooter now but i see no tangible proof that dr lucas is solely responsible for that...

he may have become a good shooter practicing with anybody or he already was that kind of shooter just didnt utilize it at college for whatever reason/role he may have been playing or style of bb played there.......Lucas may have played some role in it but far greater is sample(and its huge) of players that didnt improved and even regressed under him...

KJ 's 3pt shot % didnt even improve from year 1 to year 2 in nba so yeah i dont think dr lucas is a 3 point shooters whisperer...not to mention this is a tanking team so these data may be worthless as per the real ability of these guys to shoot....

still nobody was able to provide names of 3 players that improved their 3pt% playing for the rockets in the last decade...

its especially mind boggling since rockets were the revolutionaries and specialists in the field and of course their 3pt shooting coaches should be the best

if that is the case so how come theres so much trouble to provide the names of players that improved when the 3 point shooters whisperer took them under his wing? LOL

I was really proud of our organization for starting that Mitchell girl from the WNBA. Diversity makes us stronger.

Crazy that we were in search for a vet back up PG and whether it's Nix or Tyty, those 2 are so young. Full youth movement.

The only reason I've been into the summer league these past 2 seasons is because we've had top 12 draft picks fall to us. Otherwise it was pretty unwatchable when Jab, Peso and Tyty were on the bench. I wonder if they will play the next game.

I'm not concerned at all about Jabari's 3. He'll eventually get in a rhythm and coaching staff will help him get some arch back in the shot. His mechanics are great.

they all 19-20 y/o kids with no chemistry and couldn't make a shot.

also to everyone is ******** on Nix and championing Tyty as the backup QB please don't leave out that we were within 5pts when Tyty bricked two FTs then commited a 3pt foul on the other end AND then turned the ball over that lead to another fast break which put us down 11.

I like Tyty's game but he needs time in the Gleague.

Yeah I dunno. Its been flat whole summer league like did he not practice beyond college range ever? Worth tracking. Hopefully he uses the rest of the time before the season to correct this.

I'm glad that the rookies played without JC.
He didn't pass enough. He was the closer.

Now we have a better idea how they look like with even less experience at the SL level.

They will improve with hard work, time and experience.

What if his year in college was just an outlier for good shooting? How was his shot in high school?
