Call me crazy, but if Wood can score 15-17 off the bench on a 50 plus win Mavericks team he'll not only win or at least be a contender for 6 man of the year but it will represent his greatest career year to date IMO
it wouldn't matter to us. We got rid of a dude wanting a max contract, yet refuses to play defense or set picks. not that hard of a decision
I think he's going to do well. Some players need that extra push and to me I just don't think that's in Silas. Case in point, when KPJ and Wood wouldn't return to the game this season. One game was not enough, it should have at least been three. No matter what the reason, you just don't walk off the court
It was his second son, TJ (the son we're talking about here). His first son is the one with the big head, if I'm not mistaken. In either case whichever son I met was 2 or 3 years younger than me, went to the same high school as Brian Cushing, and his head was normal sized. That was also the same same where future NFL Safety Jabril Peppers completely dominated the North Jersey championships, and the same night me and 4 friends split a white castle crave case.
remember when folks automatically believed on a good team wood is some kind of 2nd/3rd option starter Dallas says go to the bench
I think Wood can be a great bench player. Wish we could have unlocked his inner “want to”. If he hadn’t gone to Mavericks, I would have wished him the best, but I hope he crashes and burns for them.
Wood has a big ego. Egos are sensitive. Wood will be coming off the bench on a contract year. Do the math. My prediction: A trade will be requested before the deadline to get him a chance to start on another team and prove he deserves big money.
To be fair I can't tell if CW has an ego or an insecurity complex. I'm thinking the 2nd one after being a scrub on scrub teams for most of his career. It's possible that a winning environment can do good for him.
Rockets stay fleecing the Mavs by sending them our fattened up rejects that are all bark and no bite. Here's to hoping they extend Wood like they did Chanandler Portions.
I am as glad as the next person that Wood is gone - but if anyone thinks that naming 843 year-old Javale McGee as the starter in july is anything other than a pretty obvious motivational ploy about defense, or that McGee is going to be logging 30 minutes a game, I've got some Landry's Ceviche to sell you.
McGee’s not going to log 30 mpg. He’s literally never averaged 30 mpg. But I 100% could see Kidd starting McGee over Wood.
LOL why do yall make a big deal out of refusing to play a halftime of a meaningless game... isnt the refusal to play defense, to pass, and play teamball for the 2 seasons straight the bigger offense? much much bigger! yall are so petty...
