You guys are ridiculous. The reason we were the worst team in the league last year was defense, something KPJ was very good at. The addition of Jabari and Eason (if he’s allowed to play) will solve that long term. KPJ and Green have the potential to be an incredible back court, but the thirst for instantaneous gratification by fans might screw up the re-build. Hope Stone and Tillman can hold all the immature fans off and stick to the plan.

@Nook I read the Rockets have a team option on KPJ for this upcoming season. If this is correct, why haven't they picked it up? Is there a certain date when they have to make their decision?

 

MLE will be like 12 that year. A lot of playoff teams will see him as a potential missing piece or at lease a 6th man. 20 mil per isn’t a guarantee but if he has a decent year I wouldn’t be shocked. Right now the Rockets are probably trying to gauge what suitors will have how much and trying to make a decision about what a bargain COULD be if they extend now to avoid losing him for nothing as a RFA.

So 20 mil per for the Rockets on an extension…I think that’s a bit much but 3 years 54 million… I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s a number both sides could agree to potentially…. Even though I wouldn’t offer that and I’d probably be looking to trade him at the deadline this Winter.

 

I think as the 6th man but knowing his history and ego, he'll probably throw a fit and be traded to another team or cut.

 

Wanna bet? If he has the year this year I believe he will, and the Rox let him test FA, he will get a 20m a year deal.
