    Not just his jumpers.
Even his free throws are flat, at least tonight they were.
He's probably just not comfortable yet.
I'm sure Lucas will work with him on getting the arc back in it.

Smith is the real deal. He will come around in ways that many can not imagine. Your are only seeing glimpses of what he can do. He is going to weigh 10 to 30 pounds more. He is going to be stronger, quicker, more confident, more decisive, and an offensive and defensive nightmare for opposing players and coaches. His nickname should be the "sure thing."

Jabari’s shot needs beautiful arch. They are too flat to consistently make.

Jabari's shot arch is currently a bit flat, more flat than during his college days.

It's the complete opposite of Jalen Green, who shoots it with a ridiculous arch.

I am not sure Lucas is a good shooting coach.
Is his shots good? Or any players get better after learning from his shooting?

I'd like to see Nix take some more shots and maybe drive inside a little more....

There are so many things Jabari will be able to learn from Hakeem.

During the game with Portland, did you notice Smith moving in for his shots. I am sure that was coaching. He was told to stop "forcing" the three, step in closer and shorten the range. It worked didn't it.?

I really want to see what Al P and Jabari can do together.....enough of watching summer league guards ball hogging.

My friends, summer league play, with very few exceptions (Rockets in 2012) is a demonstration of disorganized basketball. Our three draft picks, JC, and maybe NIX. The rest needs to polish the resume for that Home Depot gig.

I think "Cool Hand Luke" is pretty good.
I mean he's no Chip Englund but who is?
He's generally regarded as helping players improve.

With Jabari I think he's just pressing a bit.
Expectations of being a high pick.
When you press you tend to try to "force" things more or put more energy/force into it.
    More force = lower arc.
It's just going to take a little time with him.

We've got to remember he just turned 19 two months ago.
    He'll come around.

Played some serious scrub ball in the 3rd - looks like we were ready to leave.

He improved Jalen Green 's 3 point shooting form quite quickly.

Jabari was 7-8 inside the arc and 0-5 beyond the arc, he still needs to adjust.

Nix should look to make an entry pass as soon as he sees an open man. Improving P/R is also needed. He should stop throwing up shots. His shot will get better with time. His mechanics are all right.

There is no question in mind that Jabari will be a big star in this league. Two to three years to refine and adapt his game to the NBA. As a finished product, he will be sharpshooter, great DEFENDER. A total team player.

Smith is going to be an All NBA defender from the jump. He has it all. Perimeter switching, communication, strong in the post, slides well, weak side help, steals, blocks, deflections.

He just needs to not force his shot and keep the arc on it. At his height and release point it’s not getting blocked.
