Is your "trade for this guy" transition from Hawks Jalen Johnson to Thybulle just starting or almost complete?
To dump Tobias Harris and add another 2 guys that Harden and Morey trust, especially in playoffs. Joe Harris and Eric Gordon
It's never complete, it's always a process. My trade proposes adding these 3 defense>offense specialists to Rockets: 6'11 Myles Turner - 2x Blocks Leader 6'5 Matisse Thybulle - 2x All Defense (3 seasons in NBA) 6'9 Jalen Johnson - Point Forward Disruptor That done it's on to the next great fit or hidden gem. Tari was that guy for me this past draft.
I don't see why our roster can't be (day one): Porter-Green-Jabari-Eason-Sengun If Eric Doesn't mind hanging around and slumming....I don't mind
Agree especially if indeed this is our last tank season. Might as well get them as much experience as possible and if we’re losing at least get to see the future of the team now rather than the past.
I know our summer league team likes to run Jabari with Anthony Lamb and Tari with Aric Holman but I think that, is to see how Lamb and Holman perform. I see no reason why both Tari and Bari can't work together. I'm sure their court overlap stats is probably off the charts.
A defensive specialist with no shot who plays a position we have a glut in who's due for a big contract soon. Yeah definitely a great need for a young rebuilding team thats a few years away from even making the playoffs.
This monster works... i think it solves a lot of problems for teams... comes down to Utah willing to eat salary for a few years while building through the draft... To Knicks Donovan Mitchell Tobias Harris To Sixers Pat Beverley Eric Gordon David Nwaba To Rockets RJ Barrett Bogdanovic (expiring) To Jazz Julius Randle Evan Fournier Obi Toppin Frank Korkmaz Thybulle 3 #1s from Knicks 2 #1s from Rockets (Bucks, future pick) 1 #1 from Sixers Knicks unload 2 bad contracts at the cost of Barrett, Toppin, and 3 picks (instead of 4 with swaps). Harris is 2 fewer years of money than Randle and replaces him. Sixers get veterans they want and unload Harris money giving them opportunity to be 20+ million under the cap in a year. Rockets give up likely 2 mid firsts at best to take a flier on Barrett who does play defense and occasionally can space. Try him at the 3 and then decide on extending as one of your max guy cap space if the fit works. No long term money back. Jazz get 6 picks back (possibly more if Philly does 2 for example). Fournier and Randle would get touches to improve and rehab their value similar to OKC strategy with Horford, Paul, and Kemba. Jazz would accelerate their rebuild by having an OKC like hord of picks. They also get Thybulle and Toppin as a potential long term pieces.
Maybe it is but we'll never know in what way because you kept it to yourself. I don't think Utah does it personally...
