Astros would have won if Mike Trout was playing.

    What a scrub.

Angels should hand over Ohtani in return for us eating his contract.

I won’t put it all on the defense, but it has been neigh impossible for this team to convert BIP into outs in this game.

    Stupid replay judgment

Losing contact with the bag for a split second shouldn't matter

    The base was stolen

OH NO, but the runner lost contact with the base for a split ****ing second, as the fielder is pushing him off, thus he's obviously out.

Your fellow boomerwaffen have gotten your way.

Not only does the MLB plan on banning infielders in the grass and extreme shifts (3+ IF on one side of second), but they’re now experimenting with locked set positions for every defender, the only “shifts” allowed are to cover runners on the bases.

Pros: Tucker and Álvarez will hit .350

Cons: being able to hit the ball to all fields will be rendered obsolete overnight, and ground ball pitchers will suffer serous declines. I’m talking Framber Valdez turning into Jose Lima 2.0

I don't know what the **** you're talking about, but I do know that MLB is talking about 2 fielders on each side of 2B, and all fielders start on the IF dirt.

We'll see when that happens and how that works.

Strategizing for specific opponents and players is part of the game, and literally part of every sport. Hate the shift that much? Well then why don't you just hit the ball where there's no infield covering, or lay down a bunt against the shift. Then, they won't shift on you. While I see why some people don't like extreme shifts, I am against this new rule.

Phil Maton just pitched his 200th inning out of the pen this year. Amazing.

The thing I dislike about it is that it will homogonize batting.

Why bother learning how to hit to all fields if you're facing the same fielder density no matter where you hit?
All-fields hitting will be obsolete and the already dominant trend of pull-hitting will reign as the objectively superior way to approach batting.
It also doesn't help that it will really hurt defensively limited infielders who make their value with the bat, guys like Jose Altuve.

Shudder to think where this team would be without Shohei.
