Will Harris was consistently the 7th or 8th inning guy in all his time here. He was more overused than underused. Pressly acquisition took some of the load off, but he got injured in 2019. Granted, when Harris was on… he was very much on. The 2019 pitch was a good pitch. Maton is more the Devo role… complete with inconsistent appearances and inconsistent effectiveness.
Batters only objective should be to get Ohtani to 90 pitches by end of 4th... damn trying to hit HRs.
Forced ohtani to throw 23 pitches in the 1st inning. Lets get into their crappy pen by the 6th at the latest.
As I’ve been preaching, Yuli isn’t just impacting the team negatively with his sorry hitting - that Bregman AB right there proved my point and then some. 3-0, 3-1 and 3-2 curveballs? Ridiculous. Absolutely no respect for Yuli - it’s been going on for 2 months now and was one of my points when arguing about Yordan and Bagwell in the Yordan extension thread. It’s absurd he’s done the damage he’s done while having Yuli hitting behind him until about the last month or so before Dusty finally started hitting Tucker behind him and lately Bregman…you can’t tell me it’s a coincidence he’s been so much better. We cannot allow a team with championship aspirations field a lineup with BOTH Yuli and Maldy in the playoffs…and quite frankly, Maldy does have value in how he prepares, handles the staff, plays defense and has the respect of the entire team especially JV.
