Can’t imagine a black market for it but who knows.

Plan B is no different than contraception. It’s basically an emergency contraceptive after the fact and must be taken within 72hrs (the sooner the higher the rate of preventing unwanted pregnancies). The right going after this is going after contraception. For those that said that won’t happen- it’s already happening and I have little doubt that some states will make it law… then eventually uncle Thomas and his other 4 partners will get to overturn another Constitutional right.

And a patient under anesthesia is not at all like a zygote, because the patient has already developed into a thinking and feeling person and is only temporarily indisposed, while a zygote has not yet developed into a thinking and feeling person and moreover has no capacity to do so independent of its host mother.

Hmmm. Kind of like arguing that a zygote and a person under anesthesia are equally illiterate. Neither are in a state in which they can read, but eventually they probably will be able to read. Feels funny to me.

A zygote can’t do anything without a uterus to implant itself and trillions of cells before it can be anything resembling an organ.

maybe you should check your hand when you blow your load, 9 months later in someone may be something g

Red States wanting to ban abortion pills are as dumb as the states who are hit hard by opioids and unscripted horsey pill purchases for their unvaxxed "sniffles".

The argument against late term abortions also doesn’t stand, since putting it in the hands of the states doesn’t do anything to the states that allow later abortions. This whole thing is ****ed

This has nothing to do with discussions surrounding the responsible use of sexual faculties. Being raped is not an irresponsible use of ones sexual faculties.

But nice try at a "gotcha" I guess.

I could care less about a "gotcha" these dumbass abortion laws around the country are to blame. How the hell can you not put an exception for rape/incest? Actually based on your responses in this thread don't answer I already know the talking points you'll provide.

Right. You don't want to talk about the responsible use of ones sexual faculties. You can't. You want to shift the discussion to something else entirely.

On Fox News: the 10-year old rape likely was a fabrication

Ohio man charged in rape of 10-year-old that led to Indiana abortion (indystar.com)

A man has been charged with raping a 10-year-old Ohio girl, whose travel to Indiana to seek an abortion attracted international attention following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Charges confirm story that has become abortion debate flash point
The criminal charges and testimony from the Columbus detective confirm the disturbing story that has become a key flash point in the national furor over the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

IndyStar first reported earlier this month that a 10-year-old rape victim traveled from Ohio to Indiana for abortion services after most abortions became illegal in her home state.

The story quickly went viral, appearing in outlets across the globe, and became a top talking point for abortion rights supporters, including President Joe Biden.

"Imagine being that little girl," Biden said Friday as he decried the high court’s decision. "I’m serious. Just imagine being that little girl."

But in recent days, some abortion opponents and news outlets have criticized the story as unproven.

Story was questioned by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost on Fox News
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost also questioned the validity of the account during an appearance on Fox News this week.

Yost, a Republican, told Fox News host Jesse Watters that his office had not heard "a whisper" of a report being filed for the 10-year-old victim.

"We have regular contact with prosecutors and local police and sheriffs — not a whisper anywhere," Yost said on the show.

Yost doubled down on that in an interview with the USA TODAY Network Ohio bureau on Tuesday, saying that the more time passed before confirmation made it "more likely that this is a fabrication."

Indiana lawmakers expected to enact abortion ban
The ability of Ohio residents to seek abortion services in Indiana could soon be curtailed.

Gov. Eric Holcomb, a Republican, has called a special legislative session that is scheduled to convene on July 25. Republicans, who hold supermajorities in both chambers of the Indiana General Assembly, have pledged to enact new abortion restrictions.

Legislative leaders have been tight-lipped about what the legislation will look like. They haven't said whether their abortion proposal will allow for exemptions for rape, incest or life of the pregnant person, or at what point in a pregnancy they'll ban abortion.

Reporters asked Holcomb about the case of the 10-year-old rape survivor on Tuesday. He called it a "horrific example," but declined to say whether he was comfortable banning abortions in cases involving young rape victims.

"I am reserving comment until we see a bill," he said.

GOP Rep. Jim Jordan deletes tweet calling the story of a 10-year-old girl being raped 'another lie' after Ohio authorities charged a man in the case

    • Jordan deleted a tweet calling a story about a 10-year-old girl who was raped in Ohio a "lie."

    • The Ohio Republican deleted the message after a man was charged with rape in connection to the case.

    • The girl's case has drawn national prominence since it was first reported.
Republican Rep. Jim Jordan deleted a tweet on Wednesday in which he called the story of a 10-year-old Ohio girl receiving an abortion after being raped "another lie" following the arrest of a man in connection with the case.

"Another lie. Anyone surprised?" Jordan, an Ohio Republican, wrote on Twitter in a message on his official account that quoted a story about Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost's office initially saying it had not found any evidence to support the rape charge.

The case received national attention and President Joe Biden mentioned it during a major speech about abortion policy in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

While some news outlets initially had difficulty confirming the story, Yost, Jordan, and a host of conservative commentators questioned the account — some even claimed that it was simply made up.

On Wednesday, authorities charged Gershon Fuentes, 27, with rape, news that was first reported by The Columbus Post Dispatch. Law enforcement said that Fuentes admitted to raping the child on two occasions. DNA from the aborted fetus is also being tested to confirm if Fuentes forcibly impregnated the girl. The girl reportedly traveled to Indiana to receive the abortion at six weeks of pregnancy because of Ohio's new abortion laws.

I want to throw up, these politicians need to burn in the deepest depths of hell like the pedophiles that caused this girl the trauma. I can't imagine prosecuting someone from preventing a 10 year old girl, not even through puberty trying to give birth to another baby.

Republican AG says he'll investigate Indiana doctor who provided care to 10-year-old rape victim

Indiana’s Republican attorney general said on Wednesday that his office planned to investigate the Indiana doctor who helped a 10-year-old rape victim who crossed state lines to have an abortion.

Dr. Caitlin Bernard, an obstetrician-gynecologist in Indianapolis, has told multiple outlets that she provided care to the 10-year-old after a child abuse doctor in Ohio contacted her. The child was six weeks and three days into the pregnancy, Bernard said. After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last month, a wave of state-level abortion restrictions took effect, including in Ohio, a state that bans abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy, with no exceptions for rape or incest.

“We’re gathering the evidence as we speak, and we’re going to fight this to the end, including looking at her licensure if she failed to report. And in Indiana it’s a crime … to intentionally not report,” state Attorney General Todd Rokita said on Fox News on Wednesday night. “This is a child, and there’s a strong public interest in understanding if someone under the age of 16 or under the age of 18 or really any woman is having abortion in our state. And then if a child is being sexually abused, of course parents need to know. Authorities need to know. Public policy experts need to know.”

Abortion in Indiana is banned after 22 weeks of pregnancy, with some exceptions for medical emergencies. There are strict reporting requirements in both Ohio and Indiana for abortions and rape allegations.

Ohio’s Republican attorney general, Dave Yost, said on Fox News Monday that there was no evidence of a report being filed for the 10-year-old's case.

The account about the young girl has garnered national attention amid the fall of the constitutional right to abortion in the United States — and has become a key focus of the abortion debate. The account sparked intense dialogue in Washington, with some questioning the story’s validity, particularly after President Joe Biden cited the episode last week while slamming the court’s decision in a major speech on abortion policy.

“She was forced to have to travel out of the state to Indiana to seek to terminate the pregnancy and maybe save her life,” Biden said in remarks at the White House last week. “Ten years old — 10 years old! — raped, six weeks pregnant, already traumatized, was forced to travel to another state.”

The speculation stopped on Wednesday when Gerson Fuentes, 27, was arrested and charged with the rape of the girl, a felony of the first degree in Ohio. Police say he confessed to raping the child at least twice. The Columbus Dispatch first reported the arrest.

The clean-up followed shortly after the news of the arrest. Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan deleted a tweet in which he had called the story “another lie.” The Wall Street Journal editorial page had to walk back on an editorial titled “An Abortion Story Too Good To Confirm” that called the case a “fanciful” tale. And Yost, who originally cast doubt on the story, tweeted on Wednesday that his “heart aches” for the child and that he was grateful for the arrest — not acknowledging his previous skepticism.

Even before Biden used the example in his remarks, the case was already receiving significant attention. The Indianapolis Star reported on July 1 that Bernard received a call from a child abuse doctor in Ohio three days after the Supreme Court overturned Roe. Bernard put out her own statement on Wednesday night.

“My heart breaks for all survivors of sexual assault and abuse. I am so sad that our country is failing them when they need us most,” Bernard wrote on Twitter. “Doctors must be able to give people the medical care they need, when and where they need it.”

Aside from Rokita’s warning, it’s not yet clear whether Indiana will actually prosecute Bernard. But abortion rights activists and legal experts have been warning for weeks of the unprecedented legal risks doctors face in the wake of Roe’s fall.

Is it just me or the recent attention of 10 yr olds needing abortions warrants a push to reduce death penalty requirements for the adult sickos who rape little children?

Don’t believe a 10 years old victim but quickly believe what he saw on Fox News.

Texas is literally risking women's health.

Under the new TX law, the 10 years old rape victim cannot get an abortion.

Texas sues Biden administration over emergency abortion guidance | The Texas Tribune

Texas is suing the Biden administration over guidance released Monday telling the nation’s doctors they’re protected by federal law to terminate a pregnancy as part of emergency treatment — and threatening to defund hospitals that don’t perform these procedures.

The Biden administration’s guidance states that federal law requires doctors to perform abortions for pregnant people in emergency rooms when it is “the stabilizing treatment necessary” to resolve a medical emergency, including treatments for ectopic pregnancy, hypertension and preeclampsia.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office filed the suit challenging the guidance in federal court on Thursday, saying the Biden administration’s guidance violates the state’s “sovereign interest in the power to create and enforce a legal code.”

Texas is one of several states with laws banning abortion already in effect or trigger laws that will soon ban the medical procedure. Texas will soon ban all abortions from the moment of fertilization with narrow exceptions only to save the life of a pregnant patient or prevent “substantial impairment of major bodily function.”

The Biden administration reassured the nation’s doctors that they don’t need to wait until a patient’s health deteriorates before acting and that they can act in cases where nontreatment would result in serious impairment, guidance that comes as medical professionals in Texas and other states where abortion is banned are trying to figure out what kind of women’s health care is allowed under new restrictions. The guidance isn’t seeking to update existing law but is said to clarify a hospital’s duties under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act.

“In no uncertain terms, we are reinforcing that we expect providers to continue offering these services, and that federal law preempts state abortion bans when needed for emergency care,” U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said in a statement. “Under the law, no matter where you live, women have the right to emergency care — including abortion care.

I am glad the rapist will be punished. Thank goodness people pushed this story and he was finally arrested. The poor victim could have recieved the procedure in Ohio based on their law.

I am not sure why most of the stories above dont mention his status of an illegal immigrant. He shouldn't have been here. Kill him.
