I honestly don’t think KPJ has a choice but to accept a lesser role and modify his game or he won’t be in this league very long. I do not believe there is a market for KPJ. Why would rebuilding teams take him on? And can anyone see a contender saying “KPJ is gonna get us that CHIP!?” That’s why I don’t get the numbers proposed on this site 16-20 mil. He won’t even get a MLE. I don’t think he would command much over the vet min.

All of these absolute and dismissive statements about Scooter will result in super happy fun times at the end of the year. Cringe to see fans sht on their own players like this and then magically blurt out "Glad I was wrong" and all the dumb ass takes disappear. Search function go CRAY !!

Spot on. Why would anyone want him? His track record speaks for itself. Like I said he's a losing player. He was perfect for last season but this current group actually wants to win and doesn't care about empty stats. On this site there's a few (Bobby and DD) who think he's a star. Just look at their track records. They're always wrong. I think the vet minimum is probably accurate. He's just not worth gambling on. I've never heard of a player getting in their car and going home at halftime. He's a quitter and an immature baby who still can't appreciate anything. He'll figure it out quick when he's playing in China. Look at Michael Beasley who had 100x the amount of talent KPJ has. Eventually people get sick of it

You've got to be kidding. Unless you're just a complete Homer you're not going to like everyone on the team. That's absurd and KPJ has given fans plenty of reasons for people to dislike him. I'm sure everyone would be happy to be wrong because that means the Rockets had s good season. Just because you are a big fan of his doesn't mean every other Rockets fan has to be

KPJ is point guard Wood. Just a place holder until we draft or develop a real one. He's not a good enough SG and definitely not a PG. This team is basically replacing marginal or aging players with real ones. KPJ, Tate and Martin are next on the chopping block. Any deal they get will be minimal. Tate should start until Eason is ready and KPJ should start until we draft a real PG or TyTy develops.

@Verbal Christ just a quick question; I'm guessing you have positive things to say about Scottie Pippen while he was here. Correct? Like to see you spin this

Just like Pippen KPJ is a quitter

If he could understand that if he stuck with the Rockets in a bench role and the team were successful for a long time it could give him a great career with hopefully a championship or two. I think he could be a really good player off the bench.

I don’t think he’s completely useless I just don’t think there’s much of a market for his services since he is still a project even after 3 years in the league. Like I said, a team would have to employ him differently and he needs to embrace a lesser role. The shooting, athleticism, and defense is there to work with. But teams that would be willing to take him on will want him for cheap and possibly Vet min range.

I think most of it is pretty obvious trolling.

They have its been two and about to be 3 years. Despite a few big games His overall erratic and inconsistent play has caused the organization to pause and non committed to any extension just yet.

My attitude on KPJ is that he gets a chance to prove himself starting at PG again, but there needs to be a quick hook if he isn't getting the job done. If that happens, I don't see him having a future with the team.

I agree but I don't think he understands that. I don't think he ever will.

He hasn't even played a season as a 22 year old yet!

It would be great if it works out and KPJ is the ultimate and permanent answer to that position. I think the attempt in trying to play a starting lead guard/PG will ultimately benefit him in the long run. Which is a bench player on a top 5 team or a starting guard for a mediocre to below average NBA team.

We will most likely find out the answer to what the rockets think about this within a year or so.

He is the best starting PG on the Rockets - and those that want him off the bench are just being petty - like he would go to the bench now after being a starter and basically scoring 30pt and 8 assists in the last 10 or so games once Wood wasn't clogging things up.

The guy is turning into a beast in creating for himself and others - just enjoy the ride and put away your personal biases.

Why create strawmen though? Scottie Pippen? LMAO Guys like you who label him a quitter dont speak for all the fans either. I just find it funny that after the kid had his best season as a pro where there were plenty of good things to build on that you'd rather get hung up on one or two isolated incidents. Our fanbase has turned into a toxic cesspool of ridiculous hot takes and casuals trying to play Jr GM and pound their chest.

Im happy because Scoot will be the starting lead guard and he will play better than last year (which was a good year whether you care to admit that or not). Just remember this energy when the time comes and own your posts at the end of the season. Like I said "glad I was wrong" makes it all go away! Its tougher for the real fan that actually wants to support this team apparently.

Exactly. Par for the course. We don’t all have to be positive all the time, but the constant negativity is aggravating.

It's not a strawman. He quit at halftime just like Quitten. He's got a history of this too so let's not pretend it was a one time thing. Guys like me? You don't speak for the fans either. You have an opinion just like me but the difference is I'm not emotionally invested in any player unlike yourself. I'm a Rockets fan. I root for the name on front on the jersey not the back. It's hilarious you think your opinion is any more important than anyone else's.

The rest of this isn't worthy of a response. Put your pom poms down cheerleader

KPJ is a losing player is the funniest statement I’ve ever heard. We’re the worst team in the league and we’re tanking. If that’s the case, all of the guys are losing players lol. Y’all sound like Bill Simmons at this point. What a joke you guys are. Trolls smh
