    This is yet another example of what has been wrong with our board for too long.
    Going to such extraordinary lengths to stoke the fires of discord....promoting the negativity that has become so prevalent here...when excitement and hope are shining, starting to see the light of day.

    Only 11 Teams went into the luxury tax last year. Denver was at number 8 paying about 17.5 million. Atlanta was at 11 paying about 250K. Do I see Tilman going into the Denver region of luxury tax if he is getting performance and MONEY based upon how an exciting YOUNG team is playing? Absolutely. Will he go into the 50-150 million range? No way in Hell.

    Tilman is one of us, he is a Rockets fan.... Tilman will keep doing what is best for the team not his pockets, this has been the trend for the last 3 years..... Tilman is building something great... Great owner so far....

    He wouldn’t even go into the luxury tax to keep Ariza. I’m sorry but the pass precedent says he won’t do it. I hate the warriors but I love their ownership

    Honestly I think it’ll be KPj. If he steps up next season and has a breakout year we’ll get our first test of Tilman

    Honestly, I think it's a little unfair to blame "#17- Luxury Tax Savings" on Tilman.

    If we are being completely honest, Morey was making Lux tax savings moves before Tilman bought the team.
    Starting with dumping Ryno's contract & De'Anthony Melton in exchange for Marquese Chriss and Brandon Knight, then not using the MLE ....

    That's not to debate Anderson's merit as a player - he was obviously broken but the contract gave the team flexibility to maneuver above the salary cap that they simply didn't have without it.

    Now those luxury tax moves made after Tilman bought the team did have the biggest impact on winning and losing .... but to act like it didn't happen while the trophy thief (@tinman ) ..... errrr Les was owner is wrong.

    Agree but if he is the defensive liability against starters I fear he may be, he will be hunted on the defensive end and there aren’t as many defensive rebounds to grab.

    Ironically they got the other guy in the draft who I thought would have been a good pair to Sengun in Jeremy Sochan - guys who have enough defensive versatility and motor to hide the defensive weaknesses of others.

    …also, I’m not sure if Pops will be coaching 3 years from now. It sure seems like he is on the verge of retirement.

    I don’t think he is going to be good enough to merit the type of contract that would make Tillman balk but if a team REALLY needs a starting 2 guard maybe they back up the Brinks truck for him. I think he will be a very good role player but I think he will be less effective as a long term starter.

    He has more of an alpha personality than anyone else on the Rockets ...IMHO....Eason is probably 2nd.

    Yes, would be great to add him - but arguably, he doesn't even play the same position as Alpi. And Alpi will be amazing himself. As will Jabari.

    I would LOVE to get Victor, of course.

    A frontline of Alpi, Victor, Jabari, Tari would just be insane. There are 144 minutes to go around for SF, PF, C. That means each of them can play more than 30 minutes, and there is still time for end of bench players.

    Plus Jalen as the star SG, of course. Plus we would still have cap space to sign (or trade for) a max veteran PG.

    And Christopher, Garuba, whomever as backups.
