If you are trying to make an entire starting lineup of killers. Eason maybe filling the SF position (is that his actual position??) is HUGE. In ranked order of certainty what positions are set?? If Eason is your starter?? 1 Green 2 Jabari 3 Eason 4/5 KPJ/Sengun If you get a top pick in the draft next year what position do you target? Still best player available or do you upgrade a certain position?
It's probably been said by people smarter and quicker than me, but he reminds me of Jimmy Butler in style and temperament.
He’s probably not starting over Tate out of the gate but I suspect it’s just a matter of time. Unless Tate decides he wants to just be money from 3.
Tari has as good a chance as anyone of being our third star and the best two-way impact player on the team. Nurture his development and the coaches should have the same expectation of him developing into a superstar as the other top talents. Develop this core's synergy to make them a cohesive devastating team, and make each other better on the floor.
Butler as a person is special, his level of competitiveness is the best in basketball. Hard to reach that level but Eason is really competitive and you can just tell he genuinely loves the game. Iverson. Artest, Maxwell, Jordan, Harden… they loved to play like children on the playground.
With the players we have now, we'll be lucky to get the 4th or 5th pick. No way we're sucking as bad as we did last season.
If we pick 4th or 5th. We sucked. And that's ok. I expect it. The team is likely losing some veteran assets and adding kids. Not much improvement expected. We should be bottom of the barrel again. The only thing that will change any of that is focusing on who gets the ball each time down the court and why. And I don't see it that happening this year.
I know it's early after two summer league games, but since he managed to make lightning strike twice - @Medicine N Music is a freaking genius and should be running our scouting department!
