Yes Alex "leads" the team in GDP but he has only done it 9 times all year. That's a little less than 1 every 9 games. Not ideal, but hardly tragic or worthy of scorn either. It's a bit more but very similar to the rate of Gurriel, Alvarez, Diaz, and Altuve.
Why are you so focused on a few losses here and there and not factoring in the few wins here and there that he gets with his decisions? This is my problem with all the Dusty hate, everybody nitpicks about what they think is right and never talk about the decisions that work as if those just happen organically. They also don't factor in that the front office and the analytics drive a lot of decisions it's not at all like he just throwing darts at a board.
I hope its Taylor Jones. He was really starting to hit last year when he had a chance. It would be a nice audition for 1B next year or trade showcase
So I was slightly off and it’s only one reason. Bregs battles further into counts usually than all pull hitter altuve and works walks.
What do you consider popular it's only about 5 to 10 people that continually harp on him out of how many that read this section? Just because you are loud and frequent does not make you popular.
He has hit well in AAA, but has had mixed results in limited MLB action. I like what I've seen from him playing LF. Still, we know what Siri has done, so I'd rather see Jones get a chance to see what he can do.
