The pattern of batting a player like Goodrum or Dubon in the top 3rd of the lineup on average of about once evey 20 games this season.
Let's see what happens. Dusty likes to give Gurriel 2 days off by benching him the day before a scheduled day off. Since we face a lefty today and a righty on Tuesday, what are the chances Dusty plays Gurriel today and Matijevic Tuesday to optimize their strengths? The two days rest is still in place, but somehow I doubt it will happen because it's Dusty.

It’s not any one player that gets a day off before an off day, but it’s always at least one player from the core group.
I have no problem with today's players. If you are going to give Alvarez a day off. this is a good day to do it. Other than catcher, the only bench players in the line-up is McCormick/Diaz in for Brantley/Alvarez who is unavailable and Diaz is hot lately.
Well that sucks. There were a couple of swings yesterday that looked awkward. I wonder if he tweaked his back or something.
Yordan and Brantley could both be on the DL, and somehow Matijevic would still get only one start a week.
