[Movie] Amsterdam

I will probably watch. I love Silver Linings Playbook. But American Hustle also had an all-star cast and I got bored partway through and never even finished it, which is pretty unusual for me. Hopefully this is good.

 

Just looked up the cast on wiki, that's pretty awesome. Also the cinematographer has won 3 Oscars and done some other pretty great stuff too.

 

Same here. The acting was quite good, the film looked great, but the story just never did anything for me. You and I are apparently very much in the minority about the film, though. He's done several other movies that I really like though (Three Kings, I Heart Huckabees, Silver Linings, The Fighter).

He's also a world-class jackass, apparently. Wonder what stories will come out about conditions on the set for this one?

 

Is Christian Bale channeling Al Pacino there, or is it just me?
