The 2018 Red Sox were very good but the 2019 Astros were absolutely better top to bottom. They just choked away the opportunity to cement that.

I would not say the 2019 Astros choked.

The best team doesn't always win.

That Will Harris pitch to Kendrick was a GREAT pitch. 99% of the time it's a swinging strike, weak contact, or at worse a ball.

And that pitch swung the entire series.

The baseball gods just favored the Nationals.

Will Harris shouldn't have been in the game.

I don't feel like going through this again, lord.

Also, losing 4 WS games at home in one series is absolutely choking.

No. Dumbass Hinch went to a TIRED pitcher instead of bringing in GERRIT COLE. Who could have finished the game. AJ Hinch lost that series with his in-game management.

What is winning 3 straight road games? Or from the Nats' perspective, losing all 3 home games?

You're proving my point. You win all your road games and don't win a single game at home when you have HFA you choked it away.

We'll never see anything like that again. It was crazy.

The Nats nearly choked too, until they didn't, and came up extremely clutch in game 6 and 7 on the road. This isn't that hard, fellas.

Nationals clearly choked going 0-3 at home.

Cole wasn't going to come in during the middle of an inning. They agreed to that before the game. As a starter he needed a lot more ramp up time to get game ready. We can of course question whether or not Greinke should have been left in to finish that inning and then had Cole ready to go for the 8th and 9th innings.

    I agree with these points.

I think Grienke should have been allowed to stay in.

He was cruising, had not had any high stress innings and he's ZACH FRIGGING GRIENKE. You traded 4 highly regarded prospects to get him specifically to do things like get through that inning.

Of course Will Harris was fatigued, but he made a good pitch. Kendrick was just better on that swing, in that moment.

    Strasberg-Scherzer were better than Cole-Verlander.

    that about sums it up.

The '18 Astros were all kinds of banged up by the time they got to the ALCS; Altuve and Bregman, several pitchers.

    We lost the series 4-1

They surely almost did, until they didn’t.

The Nationals won the series, winning game 6 and 7 on the road. The Astros winning 3 road games ultimately didn’t mean ****.

Again, the Nationals won the series, so there’s a difference. Not sure why a few of y’all can’t comprehend that.
