Yet you make post after post after post criticizing Democrats, Democratic leadership, and the Democratic Party, while posting a vanishingly small number criticizing Republican policies, the issues they promote, the attempt of trump and powerful Republicans to prevent Biden taking office in a free and fair election backed by the courts. That does not remotely jive with your bolded post above, in my opinion. You have made more posts than I could begin to count criticizing Joe Biden, who is the Casper Milquetoast of the Democratic Party, leading it and President only because of the absolute dearth of quality leadership running against him, combined with the fact that he followed 4 years of the horrific trump presidency. With all due respect, I have seen you do next to nothing promoting the Democratic Party, the only viable alternative to the Republican Party lead and filled with those “dumbasses” of which you speak. It does not compute, not in the slightest.
This is a great article on her: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2022/07/01/mallory-mcmorrow-democratic-playboook-00043340 Some snippets: McMorrow has emerged as an unlikely voice for a party in desperate need of one. In this speech, which was the first of what likely will be many she’ll give at state party dinners that draw politicians with national ambitions, McMorrow wasn’t fighting the culture wars but rather teaching others how to fight them. She told the audience to talk to everyone. (“You might be the first Democrat people ever meet.”) She gave them tips on knocking on doors. (“Find something on peoples’ porches that you like and compliment it.” For her, it’s “ceramic ducks that people in Michigan put on their porches and they dress them up in different outfits depending on the season. I’m obsessed with them. We talk about that for 20 minutes. And then they ask for a yard sign.”) And she told them to avoid partisan scripts and talking points. (“Be you. Be authentic. Be real.”) She wrote a paper about the history of the Tupperware party. “That is the first company to really tap into women organizing, and having gatherings in your home and creating community,” she told me. Design is important to McMorrow. At Notre Dame, she started as an advertising major but eventually found her way into the industrial design program. She won a national contest to design the 2018 version of the Mazda3 compact car. She took a course at Notre Dame called “The Meaning of Things,” where she learned about the emotional resonance physical products have on people and how to “tell a story around the things that you were doing.” As a politician, she is both the product and its designer, which explains a key choice she made about how to frame her speech. At first, she wrote with righteous anger. “A lot of it was just notes about the hypocrisy of the Republican party,” she told me. But then her design thinking — the engineer’s daughter part of her — took over. “After I got all of that out, I crossed a lot of it out because I wanted to get it out of Republican vs. Democrat.”
related “It’s Getting Worse” A TikToker’s epic rant against Democrats’ tone-deafness goes viral. https://www.city-journal.org/democrats-woeful-messaging-on-the-economy excerpt: Alex Pearlman is not a happy man. The thirtysomething TikToker from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, went viral last week for a fiery three-minute rantthat savages his own party, the Democrats, for tone-deaf messaging, economic hypocrisy, and failure to deliver core party goals. The video was viewed more than 530,000 times on TikTok, with popular commentators from Jonah Goldbergto Glenn Greenwald lauding it on Twitter. For Pearlman, the Supreme Court’s Dobbs abortion ruling was the kindling, and some poorly timed Democratic fundraising appeals lit the match. “I’m not going to shut up about this,” Pearlman thunders into the camera, “because I can’t yell at the Republicans. They’re not going to change. . . . But I can yell at the Democratic party, and I can tell them where they can at least make one f***ing small change to stop pissing me the f*** off every hour right now. . . . Stop sending me fundraising requests right now. Okay?” He goes on to note that Republicans patiently executed a plan over decades to repeal Roe v. Wade, and that a leaker in the Supreme Court gave them five weeks’ notice of the ruling in Dobbs. The Democrats thus had plenty of time to hatch plans to counter these moves. But no: “Your response after five weeks of careful study and planning and thought has been to send us nonstop fundraising emails,” Pearlman roars, before listing a handful of top lawmakers who have net worths in the multimillions. In another video, viewed by almost 745,000 TikTok users, he notes the growing economic dread among Americans as gas prices rise, housing supply tightens, and inflation soars. “Hi. So, this is a message to Democratic leadership,” he begins. “If you are related to a Democratic f***ing leader somewhere in this f***ing country, can you reach out to them and tell them it’s f***ing bad? It’s bad. It’s f***ing bad!” He then zeroes in on reasons why the Democrats are facing steep losses in November. “Everything’s fine, gas prices are going up, buy an electric car,” he says sarcastically, mocking the party’s messaging. “We’re trying to keep the God-d**ned lights on. We’re trying to f***ing survive out here. We’ve been screaming at you for years, ‘It’s getting worse.’” more at the link
Haha… this whole “story” is essentially about Glenn Greenwald liking a anti Dem sh$t post. Like… do we have nothing better to discuss in life at this point??? Yes… there will be some randoms on Twitter or tik tok who sh$tpost for clicks. Look how much many people started following Rick Wilson or Steve Schmidt when they left the GOP. Tulsi Gabbard went from a freshman in the House to basically a co-cost on Tucker Carlson. If I randomly flipped on the Dems tomorrow I guarantee you yourself, Tinman, Sura, generalthad, Texx, etc. would like all my posts from here on out. It’s not that hard to get clicks in politics. Carry a card for a few years… then flip… then watch as you get thousands of new “friends” immediately.
Wasn't paying attention, but did the Dems at least try and fail in Congress wrt abortion? This is the exact scenario where you'd get rewarded for failure. I mean it's right before the midterms... you write up a detailed bill, then bring it up again and again while knowing it'll be blocked by Cons.
Democrats Remove Green Party from North Carolina Ballot https://blackagendareport.com/democrats-remove-green-party-north-carolina-ballot The Democratic Party succeeded in using voter intimidation and political pressure to remove the Green Party from ballot access in North Carolina. Tony Ndege is an organizer and co-Chair of the North Carolina Green Party , former co-chair of the Green Party US , and co-founder of Black Lives Matter Winston-Salem. He joins us from North Carolina. and yet we're told that the Democratic Party is the party of inclusivity and togetherness . . . this has to be fake news
Ok what would have happened or could happen if Manchin amd Sinema are replaced by Republicans? Have you done a plus-minus evaluation on that? I have more of an issue with Sinema because a Democrat other than her could win in Arizona but Manchin is the only Democrat that could win in West Virginia and I don't think for the people act would have changed much when Republicans don't play by the rules.
You'll continue to point out every possible criticism you can find of the Democratic Party, no matter how obscure the source, while possessing a remarkable, at least to me, inability to treat the Republican Party with the same scrutiny.
also, did you hear that Democrats are wholly responsible for the delay in the game start tonight? true story
Harris says Democrats believed ‘certain issues were just settled’ when asked about failure to codify Roe v. Wade https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...hen-asked-about-failure-to-codify-roe-v-wade/ excerpt: Vice President Harris said Democrats believed Roe v. Wade to be a settled issue when asked about party lawmakers’ failure to codify abortion protections into federal law over the past 50 years. “We certainly believed that certain issues are just settled,” Harris told CBS News’s Robert Costa, in an interview that was shown on “CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell” on Friday and will be shown on “Face the Nation” on Sunday. more at the link. what's really funny, Deck, is that apparently Kamala Harris is a lawyer.
I'll never get used to you, who calls himself a Democrat, finding amusement in criticizing the Democratic Party while at the same time ignoring the Republican Party's blatant assault on our system of government in this country. Your deliberate attacks on the only viable counterweight to the "GOP" make clear just how extreme your political views are and how little you value our democracy, regardless of your protestations to the contrary, in my opinion.
