WNBA is the worst company in America. It's really all their dumbass fault.

Ironically that's how a lot of black people feel when they get pulled over in the US.

But I agree, glad she is coming home. I don't think anyone should have their lives ruined for victimless ****.

Sorry I misread Astrodomes post to mean that she is coming home vs him hoping for that outcome.

Her arrest was both political and legit.

I heard an interview with someone familiar with this situation and Russia on ESPN YouTube channel. There was a travel advisory in effect at the time of her arrest warning Americans to basically not mess around in Russia. Griner should have known about it. The lady predicted Griner would plead guilty because that was the way to begin the negotiations for her release. Russia convicts 99% of the people who go to court according to that lady so she would have been convicted either way. Russian defense lawyers are not really for defense, they handle sentencing.

I'm guessing if they paid her good enough maybe she wouldn't have gone to Russia of all places. I don't know much about her stats in the wnba but isn't she like top 5 in the league?

But you know it's about revenue. WNBA loses money. Women's professional basketball makes money in Europe and Russia.

It's a losing business. The money is overseas. Simple as that. Nobody told the dumbass to bring weed into a foreign country. That's on her. She'd still be making good money over there if she didn't think she was above the law. Play stupid games win stupid prizes

It's interesting how people lose any ability to empathize with someone in a shitty situation simply because they might have some political disagreements with them.

That's bullshit. She doesn't like the country and now that she made a stupid decision she wants help. Nothing political on my end. Just don't have any sympathy for her

That is political, whether you recognize it or not.

No it's not. She **** on the country, made about the dumbest decision you could make and now wants help. How is that political? She's an idiot. Deserves her fate. I travel a decent amount. I'm not stupid enough to do drugs in general but even moreso not in a place where you can lose your freedom. That's not political. It's common sense

"She **** on the country" -- how? That sounds like a political gripe you have with her.

When a white conservativez ***** on the government because they have people in power they hate like Obama or don't like the direction of the country - "it their patriotic duty to criticize the country to make it better"

When a lesbian black liberal criticizes her country because she doesn't like the direction the nation is going: "Why even love in this country if you hate it".

It's as if one group believes they are the only ones that can criticize the nation because they believe they have ownership of the nation unlike the "others".

Are you not able to Google what all she had to say? Maybe you need to do do some research before we continue this conversation because you are apparently unaware. I'm not seeing your political angle which probably tells me more about you than me
