I'd be surprised if he made the team tbh.

Hope he realizes ballhogging and TOs is not a good way to get on a team.

    DD,
Come on. Nix looked terrible. TyTy did not. Yes he had a mixed game but he’s already a better defender and shooter. It’s very clear who the more talented player is. And Nix has 2 yrs of pro ball under his belt.

He's a 6'3 PF masquerading as a PG. People are hearing the FO talk and seeing the G-League stats, but I remember reading the scouting reports on him pre-draft, and the same thing was brought up many times, he's extremely raw and had very little skill to go with his massive frame and decent athleticism

An 18 y/o with his physical tools doesn't go undrafted on accident. That's not to say his career is over by any means, but he looks a lot like Bruno Caboclo to me right now, 2 years away from being 2 years away. Park him in the g-league, sign a vet PG to help develop our young guys.

unfortunately we guaranteed his contract fir this coming season. At roughly $1 mil his roster spot is probably more valuable than what we are paying him so it’s not the end of the world if he cut him, but I think they are hallucinating with this guy.

None of the PGs played well, because NO ONE moves off the ball at all.....our offense sucks......so our PG can beat their man, get in the lane and what? They have nowhere to go because everyone is standing at the 3pt line being guarded.

Ty Ty didn't look good, he was what 2-6, with 3 assists in 28 minutes?
Nix was 1-4 with 4 assists in 19 minutes.

Looks like a wash to me.....would like to see more movement so we can really see.....

If everyone is standing at the three-point line being guarded, and our PG beats their man, that is when they lay the ball in the basket.

I didn't see either guy stand out, but I don't think the offense is suited to them standing out......EVERYONE was standing around.......Ty Ty seems to be better at getting to the lane, and Nix has more size and crisper passing - but neither stood out to me.......but again, if the offensive players don't start moving, neither is going to stand out.

Nope the center is standing guarding the rim - and blocking that shot - our center is too busy standing too close allowing their center to guard 2 players, because no one moves.

I'd also love to see the "source" saying that Nix was viewed as being "extremely raw", with "very little skill."

    Smells like bullshit.

"because everyone is standing at the 3pt line being guarded."

If everyone is standing at the three-point line...

If there is a C at the rim, Nix needs to throw up a floater or make a play. 2 on 1 situation. Be a PG. (Make a FT)

Facts. The offense was horribly run, It looked like anyone who had the ball was just trying to get theirs.

PGs need players moving, screens, rolls movement....that is what makes you recognize who can play PG.....

This was literally just a bad streetball game. Nix with a nice follow dunk though.

Read through post ignite scouting reports, why do you think a 19 year old 5 star recruit with the size and athleticism he has went undrafted?

... Nix didn't even play for our summer league last year, he wasn't an instant post-draft signing. We signed him a whole ass week after summer league ended.

I'm not trying to be a hater, I'm just saying the "lottery pick" hype this off-season put expectations way out of whack, and I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get much playing time with the team this year. It's important to have a competent playmaker with such a young team and I hope we sign a good backup in FA. KPJ is already not a natural PG, and has his instabilities, I hope we aren't only relying on Nix/Washington.
