Did you watch him play defense? Couldn’t keep up with his man and gave everyone a clear driving lane to the basket. His one block was after he got beat off the dribble. His shot did look smooth other than that first attempt that broke the backboard. Then again I’m sure he was nervous. Jabari looked very flawed and point guard needy in his first NBA action as well so there is that. Jaygup was a galaxy eating black hole tonight so I won’t read too much into what I did or didn’t see from Jabari or others on offense.
Let's not get excited here.... Aside from his shot blocking, he looked to offer absolutely nothing on the defensive end. And he just stood and watched the rebounds going elsewhere His shot blocking and 3pt shooting is pretty nice, but he looks like every other aspect of the game will be a struggle for him - and possibly he is too old to bother teaching I think there would be better options out there for backup big men.
Aric Holman is poor man's Christian Wood, modern floor spacing big. Looked good on offense but limited defensively. CF will shred him for all the things he doesn't do well instead of appreciating things he does do well.
