Compared to Holgren(who was trained by Suggs Father to be a point forward) and Paolo(whose jsut a naturally gifted offensive player) his handles are underwhelming but that shouldn’t be an issue. We didn’t need him to initiate his own offense.

Not to mention the rookies only been with the team for about two weeks. They have plenty of time to build chemistry and continuity together. Season doesn’t start for another 4 months. It’s more important that the coaching staff. Spend a lot of time with the rookies at this point

Players from this year's draft have balled out so far. Jovic, Murray, and Chet all had very impressive games. I hope Smith plays well right away too, but people shouldn't overreact if he doesn't.

There were a few here that questioned his ability as well as his frame.

suddenly, we're seeing a lot of posts of it was never about his ability and all about whether he could hold up. 100% nonsense. pathetic backpedaling

This board had plenty of folks challenging his actual basketball play.

    i cant speak for others...
but i still want no piece of Chet bc i forsee an injury plagued career...
i could be wrong... i wish him nothing but the best...
but i think he's gonna have to put on some major weight in order to compete in the NBA - and i dont think his frame is gonna hold up... imo...

The good thing about picking #3 is there's no reason to kick ourselves if Paolo/Chet ball out. We picked the guy who was left of the 3, and we just need him to live up to what we hope to get out of him as the #3 overall pick.

If Jabari becomes a great 2-way player and an All-Star, while the first 2 picks become legit superstars, it really doesn't matter how he compares to them, at least to us. I just want him to be the best player he can become.

Unfortunately, if he doesnt have a great game with some exciting plays, there will surely be overreactions on this board because of what Chet did last night. That's just the way it goes these days. I think Jabari is in a very different situation on this summer league team, where he is not going to be asked to do a lot of creating and playmaking. He will probably focus on defense (getting after Paulo), getting open looks off teammates, and being a team guy to help get the win. That may not end up being an "exciting" game for some.

I want to see what Tari and TyTy can do out there. If those two can show a little something I think that is where the win will be from this draft. We could be building out young, capable depth on this team and that would bode well for the future. Jabari will be just fine over time.

i'm wary... i certainly wouldnt overpay and give up a boatload of draft capital to get him...
obviously there's a tipping point between talent vs risk... vs cost...
thats why im happy with Jabari... i dont think he has as a great a potential upside as Chet - but i think he's a much much safer gamble...

    I'm not talking about jabari

If you're going to say Chet isn't going to hold up and have an injury plagued career then spaghetti injury prone Victor shouldn't be in your favor at all
