Fun Fact: Sandy Koufax never struck out Mike Schmidt. Mike Schmidt vs Nolan Ryan: .179/.405/.482, 5 HR in 56 AB I think the facts speak for themselves.
Anyone else feeling weird about going against Greinke tonight? I know he wasn't here for super long and he just wasn't the same guy last season, but he definitely felt like a fan favorite when he was here and a guy you always rooted for. Maybe it's just me, but I get the sense this is going to feel like the first time we faced Keuchel with the White Sox. I want them to win, obviously, but I won't feel great if he gets crushed in the process. (Keuchel got killed.)
If you can use a laugh. I made a video describing my reaction to the game yesterday. Have to turn the sound on.
I had completely forgotten that he pitched for the Stros a bit...was that a Spec Richardson trade that sent him out?
It was a Spec trade, but they got Milt May who drove in Bob Watson with baseball's millionth run. So.. well worth it
How can you not? He's one of the most unique characters in MLB history. A great documentary would be guys who played with and against him just telling Greinke stories for 90 minutes.
