Top 6 in career Postseason RBIs. He hit them when it counted.

Anyone that questions Correa's clutchness in the postseason is being disrespectful.

That man came through many many times.

Including as a Rookie in Game 4 against the Royals.

He almost put the Stros in their first ALCS in 15 by taking down the champs.

He walked off the Yankees twice.
    He walked off the Rays
He hit the go ahead bomb against Boston last year

    There's more. Don't disrespect Los

Saying the Astros didn't lose as much and someone disagreeing with that take isn't a reading comprehension problem. It's just pointing out that the poster who said as much is flat out wrong.

My only thought is that he thinks putting them there will give them the confidence to become that player which would justify that spot in the BO. I don't agree, but at least it's a possible explanation.

    That's not what was said

Also, the line before said "matching" Correa's production and clutch-ness. Meaning if Pena "equals" Correa's ability it's a great thing

    Comprehension de reading

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I would point out ALL post season counting stats are influenced by the number of players getting into the post season as more teams are added to the playoffs. I would like to see how many opportunities he had to get to sixth place. But this reflects my bias toward context. All numbers are high or low only when they are in context.

    True

Context isn't a bias, it's reality. That's why it's difficult to compare eras. There's currently more playoffs rounds and more teams since Babe Ruth and Bill Russell

Correa is clutch, no doubt. I was just surprised his OPS wasn't higher (same way most fans prob would if they're being honest)

Of the top 10, he is 9th in plate appearances.

He has exactly twice as many postseason plate appearances as Babe Ruth, but not quite twice as many RBI. Ruth had 33.

A part of me wants to add Jake Meyers to this.

Man the Verlander and McCullers injuries suck(ed) but really do appear to be blessings in disguise. We were able to develop guys like Framber, Garcia. And now Javier!

Closer. I'd love to see the adjusted stat with runners on and which bases to rank clutch. I'm sure somebody has done it. But even then you could adjust further by the opposing pitcher's Playoff ERA+.

Do some googling and go find what you are looking for.

ETA: that chart and Ruth's stats took about 1 minute to find.

849 is a huge number for playoff OPS. That’s performing at the equivalent of an all star level against nothing but the best of the best pitching staff wise, with their full attention. Nobody should minimize that. It’s awesome.

He has the highest RBI rate out of anyone in the top 10. He's 2 behind Jeter with around 350 less plate appearances.

.849 is not awesome. You know it. I know it. Everybody knows it

Correa was great overall in the playoffs though
