Many bullpens look amazing when the starters go 7 more often then they go 5. I'd still prepare for a nightmare scenario like last years ALCS and WS where our starters were getting chased after 3-4 innings on back-to-back days.
Well if you truly believe Stanek is a sub 1 era along with Montero (2 of your top 4 relievers you've used in high leverage situations), then by all means believe we are in fantastic shape in the bullpen. We need another great arm in the bullpen. Montero and Stanek along with Neris need to be relegated to 6th and 7th inning roles.
lol and this is why I stay clear of series threads. You'd somehow find a way whine if this team managed to clone prime Mariano Rivera. "Nope, need another great arm in the bullpen!"
it would be hard for me to move Peña out of the 2 hole with the added protection it gives him with Yordan following. I think Brantley had 90 RBI in 2019 and he largely batted #3 that season. Would be crazy to see a Michael Brantley in the 6 hole. Hell, the AL batting champ was hitting 7th last season for us. But Dusty loves his L-R-L-R batting order. I propose… Altuve Peña Alvarez Bregman Tucker Brantley Gurriel Meyers Maldonado
