‘What is up with everyone obsession with Ben Simmons….. There’s a saying… “when someone shows you who they are believe them”
better not to have any assistants coaches than the ones we had so far that cant teach anyone to shoot or play smart unselfish basketball...dribble around a lot and shoot a lot of 3s over the hands of defenders...rockets players know this intuitively, theres no need to pay designated people to teach em that
a real pro in the mold of danuel thesis, hell show everyone how to shoot a 35 footer with 20s left on the shotclock
WTF...Jabari is a role player and not a good 2nd option? I disagree. Jabari is a very valid #2 option. If Chris Bosh could be a #1 option in Toronto then Jabari Smith can be a #2 option for Houston
I like him; but his 3P DFG% was 48%. I believe Boban is 57% 3P DF%, but I think the Rockets are planning a *2-3 defense when Boban plays his 8-10 mins a game (4-5 mins per half). If Garza was better at defense near the rim, it could work with Luka. Unfortunately his defense near the rim was sub par......although, it was year one. * 2-3 defensive set up: Eason..............Boban..............Jabari ..............Porter............Green or most teams were liking the use of guards near the baseline this past season when running 2-3 zone: Porter........Boban.........Green ...........Eason........Jabari
He was never a good defender. Even in college but on our bench he will be surrounded by defenders (Garuba, Christopher possibly Eason).
Boban should not be on this team at all much less be getting any minutes. If he is on the team it will be garbage time only.
Porter - 15.6 pts, 3.2 rbs, 6.2 ast, 1.1 stl (37.5% 3) Green - 17.3 pts, 3.4 rbs, 2.6 ast, .7 stl (34.3% 3) Tate - 11.8 pts, 5.4 rbs, 2.8 ast, .9 stl (31.2% 3) Smith - 16.9 pts, 7.4 rbs, 2 ast, 1.1 stl, 1 blk (43% 3) Sengun - 9.6 pts, 5.5 rbs, 2.6 ast, .8 stl, .9 blk (24.8% 3) Totals - 71.2 pts, 24.9 rbs, 16.2 ast, 4.6 stl, 1.9 blk (34.16% 3) Couple of notes- These are stat lines from last season. Assuming no one improves would be silly. Green is going to start blossoming if his post-all-star-break play is any indication. Despite a lot of skepticism surrounding Porter, those skeptics would be hard-pressed to think he's going to regress. He'll be more comfortable, surrounded by more talent, trust and has every reason ($) to go ball out every night. 34.16% is a straight average, doesn't take into consideration that Green, Porter and Smith will be shooting more than Sengun. Smith's college numbers likely to grow based on playing time alone. Same for Sengun, who will be logging more minutes as a starter this season. 3 above average 3 point shooters in one lineup is how GSW made a few championship runs. If the rumors about Tate improving are true and he's a break-even shooter at 33% this lineup is going to feast on spacing. Particularly Sengun on the block. They can just run cuts to the rim all day with the paint open.
3 above average 3 point shooters is not how GS won championships lol. Having the best 3 point shooter in league history and another top 5 shooter of all time and having the leagues best defense is how the won championships also having the refs on their side.
It's a good place to start for a young team. Jalen Green and KPJ are versatile scorers and Jabari might develop into one too.
I have no idea what's going to happen. My layman suggestion is to trade KJ Martin, the Bucks 2023 pick and one of the Minnesota second round picks for the Hornets unprotected 2023 first round pick. They will probably end up in the lottery even with Mark Williams. @ApacheWarrior @vator Everybody can send their comments not only ApacheWarrior and vator.
lmao if you think you needed to illuminate the difference between surefire HOFers and some rookies...don't worry I wasn't going after your precious Warriors you fanboi.
Not sure my friend, Rockets have options. Trade Eric Gordon Nwaba Nix Boban Chriss Trey Burke Sterling Brown Kenyon Others Not sure if deals are finalized yet with Tate, Mavs players; who needs to wait two months or wait until mid December? Rockets can trade them individually or some mixed in package deal. I count 18 players under contract as of today...includes Rooks & excludes one Dual Contract of Hudgins. Three must go by opening night. I'm hoping the Rockets get in on the Myles Turner trade talks...Eric Gordon needs to be in Indiana. Send Nwaba and Kenyon there too.
