The Astros have a chance to beat the 2017 team with the most wins at the All-star break (60-29) with 14 games left (50-27). The Yankees still have 12 games against the Red Sox, 7 with the Blue Jays, 2 Mets, 6 with Tampa. I think Astros catch the Yankees for the #1 seed. Yankees are not playing at their current pace for a full season. Not in the AL East. 2017: 52-25 2019: 48-29 2022: 50-27.
Pretty sure that was it. Some dude in the stands had it on while failing to catch Tucker's HR. I dig it.
Well I have MLB TV so no matter what I get the home team broadcast but I’ve just noticed that the app isn’t regulating territory this season.
The Astros and the Yankees are running away from their division rivals. The American central is up for grabs. The National league is a crowded field. MLB is really entertaining right now, especially for Astro fans. Ride the wave.
I ran two things together. I was referring to the iHeart app letting me (and others) listen to the Astros broadcast as it usually blocks you if you’re not in HST.
It sure would have been nice to see how the next decade would've played out with Luhnow in charge. I'm all on board with ruthless and don't give 2 bleeps about what MLB established or the media thinks
Were you high when you checked the NYY schedule? 16 gms left against BOS (not 12) 4 gms left against the Mets (not 2) 9 gms left against TB (not 6)
I'd rather be the underdogs, even if that means giving up home field advantage. Astros play better when they are underrated, and the Yankees will feel the pressure as the #1 seed assuming that they are on pace for one of the best records of all time.
