It would be hilarious to trade Sengun for Ayton, and watch Sengun be better than Ayton damn near immediately... Thank Christ Rafael wouldn't pull the trigger on that nonsense!
Still can't believe they did not trade Gordon for one of the 1st rd picks they "had on the table", then pkgd it with the 26 to move up for a big. I like TyTy, but they have a back up point. Or do they?
The KD trade request potentially eliminates a competitor for EG’s services in Phoenix. I’m sure lots of team are putting together significant draft pick packages, Phoenix included. However, if they miss out I can see them being even more willing to deal a pick for EG to add more firepower.
Brogdon got traded for a late 1st (BOS) and $10 MM in cap space that Indy may use for a max free agent. Can we do better for EGo?
Would never happen, but think this makes sense: To Brooklyn Westbrook Horton-Tucker Chriss Martin Mathews To Lakers Gordon J Harris Nwaba Curry, Seth Burke Marjanovic Brown To Rockets Irving Nunn Lakers convert Westbrook and 2 bench players into 4 quality role players (Gordon, Curry, Harris, Nwaba) without taking on huge salary. Those guys are either shooters or defenders, which the Lakers need. Even Brown could be a useful shooter off the bench. Nets bring in Westbrook on buyout, unload the older Harris and add THT and Kenyon Martin as possible long term pieces. They also free up 10 million in cap space for 2024 offseason. Rockets bundle expirings for gamble on Kyrie and buy low on Nunn... doesn't harm their draft assets or cap space to take gamble. May need a pick sweetner from Lakers or 2nds from Houston to Brooklyn...
At what? Name me one thing he's good at? He's average at everything. Not a great defender. Not a great rim protector. Not a great rebounder. Not a great shooter. He just has CP3 spoon feeding him easy shots.
https://fanspo.com/nba/s/rockets/trades/e7az55FShuwb5U/gordon-rejoins-the-band Porter - Green - Tate - Smith - Sengun Christopher - Korkmaz - Eason - Kuzma - Garuba Washington - Brown - Nwaba - Reed - Boban
I like it but I think Washington might need one more asset like a PG or a 1st. Kuzma and Tobias are too close in value for Wiz to take back that much more $ that is not an expiring. I like it though.
I imagine it wouldhave to be a playoff team in the West. Not likely an eastern playoff team helps Philly improve. Minnesota? Portland? Golden State?
Well we did get something for Oladipo which was essentially cap space via expiring contracts and a meaningless pick swap. The important thing is we didn't compound the Oladipo situation by taking on bad contracts. Likewise with Gordon's contract being non- guaranteed next year, the important thing is we don't do something short sighted like making a panic trade just so we can get "something". It's not the worst thing in the world to play out the season with Gordon and not pick him up next season. I'd like to move him to a better situation for his sake, but the team comes first and we've seen how having Gordon didn't derail the rebuild.
we’ll agree to disagree. I think it’s bad asset management. The Dipo situation was really bad in my opinion. I’m just glad he didn’t bite on the lucrative extension we offered.
