Seeing the haul for Gobert the Nets have to trade Kd now for Ayton and picks or the Suns will resign Ayton for max and trade him later.

Nets get Ayton plus 4-6 unprotected picks and swaps— then trade Ayton in the off-season for more picks. Nets could potentially acquire 10 first round picks for Kd

    Suns get Kd

do you think Donovan is cool being Ainge’s science experiment — hell no.
But in some ways Donovan did it to himself as the jazz did go all out to try and make a push. But I don’t expect Donovan to be there too long.

Just bc one dumb@$$ team overpaid, not every team is gonna get trade rape for Durant.

Same concept applied to how our trade for Harden was lower. I don't except Durant to yield as much picks either. Man is disgruntled and is asking to leave. Opposing teams won't have to go all in.

Your 30 year old player being paid 40M a season better be able to do more than just defend the paint and rebound. Because he can't, that's an overpay.

No one is saying Gobert isn't a great defensive player, but you're essentially mortgaging your entire future for a skillset that your other max-money guy, Towns, should already be able to do.

And they're going to run into the same situation as Utah - most of your money is tied up in 2 players, so you don't really have room to fill out the rest of your roster with good players. If Minny was dead set on a center, I'm willing to bet they could have pried Ayton away from the Suns for far less.

Speaking of, KAT is now going to be relegated to a jump shooter, since Gobert will be planted in the paint - and having Towns in the paint would just mess up everyone's spacing.

Yeah makes no sense. Especially knowing that eventually they're going to have to pay Edwards. Not smart planning at all.

Not mortgaging a future. The future is now; when kat and Anthony Edwards are ready.

I doubt that the 2023 and 2025 picks will be even close to gobert, they may not stay as nba players — and most likely a mid-level exception player will be just as good, especially given ainge’s bad drafting.

So the 2027 pick will be likely the value and what protections exist after 2029.
This isn’t close to the coup that ainge got from the idiot nets.

but we will see: ainge is gambling. He gambled with the grizzlies “unprotected pick” and ended up with relatively nothing. But all everyone thinks about is all those picks.

gobert is a great center an uncommon player and he will make an impact on the twolves no doubt.

You need to be able to defend the perimeter. Who cares if you give up two pointers. Gobert has been exposed in the playoffs every single year. How is he worth that contract and 4 first round picks. I am just blown away. How can him and KAT even play together. Not to mention they lost Bev.

I have zero issues with PBev's mentality overall.

I mean... ok, basically zero. it's definitely a LITTLE over the top. But like Draymond, its part and parcel to why they are where they are and getting PAID what they are.

If/when it comes to hurting other players with their antics, though... then that's too far, otherwise, scrub or not, this is the exact attitude that works for me. He respects its a business, no hard feelings, on to the next team. And indeed, he is ALWAYS in the playoffs.

I love that pick haul tbh. Timberwolves are going to get **** on in the playoffs when teams start taking Gobert and Kat on the perimeter.

Hopefully, this makes BKY realize they can get horny for picks.

I still think they can take Portland and La's future.

They need to ship Simmons too

Lol what? Do you not watch the Jazz in the playoffs. He sits in the paint and gets threes rained on him and they lose every year. I am completely blown away by how dumb the Twovles are. Mitchell made more sense than this.

Just for fun you can watch this.

I don't understand the idea of trading away such boatloads of picks... it's basically worked one time recently -bubble Lakers. Otherwise, GSW = all their picks, Bucks = on the back of their picks, Suns = MOSTLY their picks plus CP3, Celtics = FRPs, Heat = FRPs plus Jimmy, Heat = their picks PLUS free agents... ??

I guess the Twolves are like we have our FRPs that we selected in KAT and Ant, so now we can trade the picks for the Jimmy Butler, or CP3 like additoin... but lol at that guy being Gobert.

How anyone is on a Houston Rockets forum and literally every single game exposed Gobert for years both in the playoffs and regular season and acts like it doesn't happen year after year is mind blowing. that tells you plenty about whether someone actually understands whats happening in reality

apparently you didn’t watch this video because this video was explaining why gobert is the best defensive center and that it was not his fault that the clippers had success.
    Lol, but way too google.
