a. Whitewash racial injustices in this country's history and whitewash the reasons for the Civil War?

b. Wear and waive Confederate paraphernalia as a form of pride?

As someone who is now in the Democratic camp I have no problem acknowledging that the Democratic Party was the party of the Confederacy and that up until the 1960’ many Democrats supported Segregation and Jim Crow. Acknowledging a historical fact shouldn’t be suppressed or clouded in euphemisms just because it might make some people currently uncomfortable.
