Men vs Women - which sports could they compete equally?

    Agreed on both counts, women's tennis should probably pay more than the men's tennis. In a true meritocracy, pay the women by what they draw in crowds and on TV......meritocracy....

    My favorite women's sports to watch are soccer and tennis.

    I can't stand basketball knowing they use a smaller ball - just makes the game so easy.

    The only big competitive event/ sport I've seen women compete completely equal with men is drag racing -- they challenge for championships in every type of dragster as long as they have money for a good team and lots of guts.

    Women's tennis shouldn't pay more until they compete in as many sets as the men do.

    In soccer, the USWNT's fight for equal pay is a joke. They earned more than the men with their original CBA.

    I agree, but it was only because they played in the WC, whereas the USMNT did not.....

    Women's soccer is pretty decent, just not really fast paced.....as evidenced by the FC Dallas U14 team beating the USWNT 5-0 in a friendly - it just highlighted the vast difference in athleticism.

    Just to the gymnastics portion, Men would do far better at womens events than Women competing Mens events.

    So, things that are not about athleticism at it's core, women are on equal footing, skills and smarts etc....
