'Holic needed a podcast instead of a newsletter... He could have been 'somebody' also if he wasnt stuck on an antiquated method of 'news'.
I'm not a big fan of Don Knock's stuff. He definitely doesn't come off as being very professional or informative in the slightest. I've outright closed his stuff when he goes into baseball and local stuff on a fricking Rockets podcast. It's like I don't give a damn about baseball or football, I want to know what's going on with the Rockets only! Jackson Gatlin and Ben Dubose are great to listen to. Very intelligent dudes and provide an insight to those fans outside the state of Texas.
OK this is officially the best nuthugger nickname I have ever seen, and I'm gonna use it every time this s**t comes up all season.
I hate to say it, but Rockets Twitter is full of drama queens. 50% Rockets content and 50% drama regarding other Rox fans. It's weird. 99% of the time, Clutch stays above the fray. I'm guessing this one REALLY annoyed him.
Like @Clutch I follow Rockets and NBA discourse wherever I can find it. Being myopic is preferable now?
There are a few on Twitter who basically just participate in a 24/7 Rockets circle-jerk. It is odd to me, but if I was younger I might fall into the same thing so I can't hate on it.
This guy’s vibe is all wrong. He’d be wise to remember that Clutch is The Godfather in of all this. I can’t imagine inviting Dave onto a podcast, where he’s gracious enough to accept, and then trying to big time him. I’d rather listen to Rockets Spaces or subscribe to the Rocket Fuel Podcast or State Of The Rockets, but that’s me.
Rockets twitter can be pretty insufferable. The last few years of Harden was unbearable on twitter, when anyone with real basketball knowledge knew it was going to translate into the playoffs. There's a definitely a fine line being a homer who "keeps all the receipts" for every slight, perceived and real, and a homer who loves the team but can still be objective.
I remember this poster and that he was popular on here, and also that he was kind of a jerk. Not surprised he'd have "beef" with Clutch.
I don't mind the "superfandom" but sometimes these kids start acting like they're Rocket influencers and expect the organization to give them and their takes some deference or at least internally consider what someone with 3.5k followers (while following 2.8k people) on twitter, has to say. It gets annoying, insulting and at some level embarrassing for them. I would bet you these accounts think Raf Stone is secretly following them and is considering their takes cuz Felicia is nice enough to engage with the fans on social media.
It's crazy the people that are now running rockets twitter and twitter spaces kind of got lucky and made a twitter space one day randomly and it blew the hell up. All of Rockets Twitter hopped in and now it has become the default place for rockets hangouts. All those guys now have followings and podcasts and been featured on the damn Houston news and sh*t. If Clutch and Bima weren't such boomers they would have cornered he market on rockets non toxic discussion on Twitter. They were just too late. Maybe in another universe
what's the matter with that? the dialogue prior to the draft was terrible especially considering the two loudest groups were wrong. Chet was clearly #1. I'll root for Jabari now because he's on the team and clearly if you host a Rockets oriented space or podcast or account you can't keep trashing Jabari. We went through this last year with Mobley people complaining about Green every chance they got, The Green people ended up being the Paolo people for the most part and they are clearly more apt to root for the guy here. I think it's a good thing to change the narrative because most people don't think for themselves and just follow the leader. These guys whether you like them or not are controlling a lot of the narrative. I'd prefer them to be positive about Jabari. Rockets were lucky to get a top 4 pick in this draft and especially lucky to get a top 3 pick. Even if Jabari isn't as good as Paolo or Chet long term, he was picked third. If Ivey is better? It's hard to fault them for passing when it was pretty consensus 3. If anything, the Paolo supporters were proven right. He went first because the Magic the team with the first pick decided he was the best player in the draft.
