looks like a deal possible going through portland for one of their 2025 picks. philly sending portland springer or bassey or both plus a second or two along with other salary, pick to us, ego to philly, we probably have to take back bledsoe and niang
Bottom 3 teams have the same odds for #1 overall. Difference between worst record and 6th worst is 5%
This is stupid. Unless EGo getting traded. Rockets already drowning in guards. KPJ, Green, EGo, Jaygup, TyTy, Mathews, Nix. This is not even counting Trey Burke or Sterling Brown.
I’ve always liked Sexton, but I can’t see how he’d fit with the Rockets. You’d obviously have to start him. So, would he start at PG with KPJ at the 3? It’d be a stretch.
We are out of the Wemby sweepstakes. I see us having a better record than the following: ORL SAC SAS OKC (toss up)
This makes little more sense. But maybe TyTy or Nix going to be squeezed. And EGo could play 2-3 positions, Sexton not as versatile. Especially defensively. Stone better rethink not signing Trev Queen, who is best bet to grow into that EGo role.
I'd guess we finish worse than Kings, but I agree I wouldn't put money that we finish worst record in the league which is fine. We will likely finish bottom 3 - 6th which I'd qualify as in the Wemby sweepstakes and an additional chance at another insanely amazing prospect in Scoot. It would also show improvement in a team of 19 and 20 year olds. We're in a no lose situation (with what we can control) if we roll out our young core. I do believe we can build a championship level team around Green/Smith and I do believe we have some amazing young talent (Sengun/Eason/Josh/etc) around them too. But, I also think if we got Wemby or Scoot we are talking dynasty-level talent. It would be up to us to make sure the talent reaches its potential. I don’t want us to shamelessly lose games like OKC did last year btw.
Don't have to shameless lose like the thunders. But actively making moves to compete for play in to miss out on the wemby sweepstake is quite foolish. Spurs winning wemby will make our division Harder than necessary just bc we got impatient in the tank process is a thing that we can prevent
I like Christopher and TyTy as our scoring and facilitating off the bench the next couple years. I doubt we have legit interest in Sexton. As for Bamba or Harty, I am torn. You could give them a 4 year deal and hope that they are along for our ascent. But mostly, if Sengun averages 28 minutes, I want Garuba to get the other 20.
