This is insaaaaane. What are the Spurs doing? Seems like they are all in on French Vic. Now they're guaranteed to be the worst team in the league next year.

Huge fan of Murray. He'll make them much better. I wonder if they still keep Collins or keep looking for a trade partner?

Spurs finally tanking after being in the play in range treadmill. Last time they tanked they got a generational big man... ;)o_O

Wow! Did not see that coming. I thought they were just telling people there was no way you were going to be able to trade for Murray. They got a major draft haul and Hawks got themselves a stud! Shoot, I think we should have gone for Murray.

The Hawks are going to be a team to be reckoned with if they can manage to have two playmaking scoring guards on the floor through all 60 minutes ala Harden/CP3… of course this would be the lite version.

Great pickup by Atlanta in their win-now mode.

Good deal for Spurs, unless those picks are lotto protected, don't like it for the Hawks.

Young is a generational talent with the ball in his hands, Murray is an inefficient shooter who's needs the ball in his hands to give his full impact. This feels like a Harden + WB combo.

Good pickup for the hawks. Trae/Murray is a solid backcourt. Alleviates some pressure off Trae from doing everything to create/score

The Charlotte pick stinks. lottery top 16 protected next year and top 14 protected the following year if it doesn’t convey

Apparently Collins wants out. I wonder if they try to make a move for an Ayton SnT?

Unlike WB Murray plays great defense. He was a better 3 pt shooter before so much offensive burden was placed on him. I think he will shine next to some better players.

Good move. Pop has to be be thinking of retiring from coaching. I just don't know why he would want a total rebuild, especially at his age.

The Spurs are blowing it up and rebuilding from scratch. It's working for the Rockets so far, so I can't blame them.

I hope this isn't all about tanking for Wemby, cuz having the worst record in the league doesn't guarantee the #1 pick as we've seen first hand two straight years. And they were very lucky to get Duncan in 1997. Boston by far had the most ping pong balls in that lottery.

Is the defense worth 3 first? For a guy that disrupts spacing when playing with Trae?

Murray and Trae are elite passers... but only Murray is the elite scorer. A lead guard who can't shoot or score efficiently is a nightmare when trying to win games. Trae will keep the ball, and Murray will be regelated to a corner spot-up shooter. Add on that you have a complete non shooter in Clint at center...I've seen this story before.

I think Delon Wright brought a lot of the benefits that Murray does without the ego, contract price (he will want to be paid, UFA in 2 years) and cost of 3 first-round picks.

Hopefully, it works out for the Hawks, Trae deserves a good squad.

EDIT 2025 & 2027 Hawks first are unprotected, gross. And they threw in a swap. Huge W for Spurs.

Ehhh…Harden was a MVP candidate year after year while Murray is a first time all star.

    Apples and Oranges.
