    what if that was your 13 year old daughter going up against Toni Hawk?

    I think the larger issue here is why aren't there age groups for this competition?

    I'm pretty sure this doesn't sound as absurd if it was a 13 year old transgender girl beating a 13 year old girl.

    I agree that there should be an age group. The age difference is already absurd, and adding it's a MtF gives it that extra level of ridiculousness. The trifecta would be if the winner taunted the 13 year old like this.

    What’s the big deal with this one?

    maybe if it was a 13 year old trans person beating a 19 year old

    I know very little about skateboarding and have no idea how strength and size differences affect it. It seems like there should be age categories but I seem to remember that some 13 year old won the first Olympics gold.

    If there are no age restrictions and size and strength don’t matter to the sport it seems like this sport should be non gendered to begin with.
