Need Garuba to take next step of his development.

But these kids seem to wholeheartedly believe in one another.

    Checklist for the off-season:

√ Draft the best available talent
√ Buy out John Wall before Summer League play begins (check)
Add assistant coaches to the payroll (Abdelfattah and Bzdelik)
Complete the hype of summer league without injuries to up-and-coming players

Have some fun watching the kids hoop this year, tank, and get in the mix for Victor. Next years draft is so stacked, would be silly not to…

…and then add high pick to an already elite group of kids…

…then take Bronny in the late second round, and see if his dad wants a vet min.

    You’re welcome, Stone.

You're not going to get Deandre Ayton for the taxpayer MLE. And that's all we've got. Unless the Suns are open to a sign and trade centered around Eric Gordon and spare parts, it ain't gonna happen.

Hope the Rockets sign a couple vets who have won in the league to work with our young players.

LMA (may not be a FA)
    Paul Millsap
    George Hill
    Rajon Rondo

Not the type of mentality you want on this uber young team at that price. He takes plays off and needs structure. He's already been disgruntled with coaches before in Phoenix.

No need to make any major moves now.
    • Trim down roster by moving EG, Nwaba, the Mavs fillers (keep Boban), maybe Tate/KMJ if we can get good value.
    • Give minutes to the rookies / 2nd year players for development and tanking
    • Draft well in 2023
    • Only sign an FA opportunistically as long as they don’t take away minutes from development players, and are easily tradeable contracts.
In the 2023 offseason we use our cap space to sign a solid FA vet (eg Grant, Middleton, Wiggins, Turner). Then either in the 2023 off-season or at the 2024 trade deadline we use the Nets picks (and/or surplus young players if needed) to trade for a young-ish star / upcoming player (eg Ingram, Towns, Brown, Anunoby, Murray). Say, we end up with Murray, Wiggins around Green, Jabari, Sengun with KPJ, JC, Eason and 2023 rookie coming off the bench.

I think the next move is definitely going all in on player development. Bringing in all the promising players means nothing if we can't help them realize their potential. There's a reason why Kings are the Kings. Yes, players at the end of the day are ultimately responsible for their own development but organizations can do a lot to help them develop (or stifle)
