Blame can be held jointly or severely, and is not an necessarily an either/or proposition. Kyrie is 100% responsible for his actions, and 100% responsible for this. This isn't new. As such, the Nets signing him knowing full well he will stab a team in the back if things don't go his way are also 100% responsible for putting themselves in this position.
For sure, hindsight is 20/20 right? The caliber of player isn't the same, but imagine if the Kobe Lakers lose after signing Artest, or if he got suspended. Everyone would have said "well what did they expect, he's got a history". On the other hand, guys with locker room issues in the past can be had for cheap, like Dennis Rodman on the Bulls or us getting KPJ for nothing.
that's what I'm saying. the blame can be placed all around in a lot of ways. you can blame kyrie, the nets, nyc's temporary work policies, harden, etc. my point was to blame one player for the current downfall of an entire organization isn't right. it took more than just kyrie for the nets to find themselves in nearly the same position they were when king got fired
Bring him home! Wall, Tate, KJ Martin and the nets get some picks back throw in Nick Claxton too for salary purposes. KD can be Segun's backup
Like the Rockets, the Nets need to decide whether to rebuild around Ben Simmons. Unlike the Rockets, the Nets may not have a choice.
There isn't any hindsight needed. If KPJ destroys the Rockets, the Rockets put themselves in that position. Guys with locker room issues come cheap because they have the potential to bring a team down. Some teams are willing to risk it. If it goes well, the team gets cheered. If it doesn't, the team deserves everything all the blame it receives. It would be different if Kyrie was a model team-first player his entire career and only had issues with the Nets.
For KPJ for sure. I meant more if Kyrie and durant won a ring, the nets would have looked like geniuses. I guess they thought Nash would be a better coach.
Can the 76ers even trade 3 first rounders after the Harden deal? Also pretty sure Durant wouldn't want to reunite with James after what happened this year. Also the Tobias Harris is probably negative value, there would be better deals on the table I would assume. Would be fun tho
KPJ hasn't left the team because he wanted to party in vegas or skips out on the nba finals practice to have a wwe match, yet Rodman was still kept on. The question with KPJ isn't that he's got mental issue that will rear its ugly head at times, the question is if the Rockets can manage things around that without it becoming a distraction ala the bulls.
One can only dream the Nets go nuclear trade both kd and irving and falls down to bottom cellar team. Wins the 1st pick in the lottery and have to trade it to us to win the wembanyama sweepstake
I just hope the Nets take Draft picks back for KD and maybe a decent player. then they fire Nash and tank out the season.
