Tari Eason is going to give us a combination of length and athleticism at the forward spot that we haven’t had since Robert Horry. I would not be surprised if Eason gives us a couple of seasons where he averages over a combined 3 blocks plus steals a game.

PJ Tucker doesn’t exactly have the best shot mechanics. But if Eason can learn to reliably hit some spot up 3’s, it is going to unlock great upside value in his game. 36% 3 point shooting (low volume) and 80% free throw shooting (high volume) last season is at least a good sign that he can be a respectable shooter. His ability to attack close outs is going to be much better than Tucker, Ariza and Covington. His explosive, physical drives will easily translate into a lot of dunks and fouls. His transition game is already a plus. If the 3 ball becomes reliable, this pick will quickly turn into a home run.

If we are running the three expected outcomes for Eason, we are looking at Matisse Thybulle as the worst case, PJ Tucker as the base case, and Ron Artest as the best case. I’m excited.

You really would have taken a guy that didn't even get drafted at 26? And what's more, nobody attempted to sign him on a two way or sign him as an undrafted free agent. Bro, Stone is better than us at this. You'd have taken Kai Sotto. I'd have taken Tyty or Hardy. He traded back and picked up two second rounders and still got Tyty.

I really wanted Koloko. I really thought he was going bottom 1st rd., I was wrong, can't deny that, but lets not act like gms don't miss players. We've seen it consistently especially with international guys and young players being soo young.

Rocketd are bringing in leaders to the team. Honestly this team is full of young high character guys. Watching them grow together I'd going to be super exciting!

I bet we use him as a backup 4/5 this year with garuba taking the other “big” spot .

Replace Tate with EG or KPJ. We cannot have 2 inconsistent shooters (Eason and Tate) together on the floor at the same time.

I love the idea mentioned in the podcast about Eason and Jabari being Battier "linebacker" type of defenders. Not just lockdown one on one guys, but guys with a good feel for team defense who can yell out assignments/switches as needed. That makes all the difference. Imagine having 48 minutes of Eason/Jabari on the court

My guess is Timberwolves was one of them, offering 29th pick + 2 future second round picks.

Stone: call me again at #26

Eason gives me more Artest/RoCo on defense vibes than Horry.

If anyone is Horry it is Jabari, but better offensively and defensively.

I am excited about the pick, but Eason looks like Corey Brewer to me, as a player and as a person LOL
