He got up pretty well from that. Say what you want about his mental capabilities, his body is in good shape. An entire life of avoiding labor of any kind pays off I guess.

you can run but you can't hide

Biden can’t escape questions on his age

    https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/3532095-biden-cant-escape-questions-on-his-age/

    excerpt:

“Look, it’s a problem,” one Democratic strategist acknowledged, speaking without attribution in order to discuss a sensitive topic.

“He’s f—— old and everyone knows it, but no one wants to talk about it for fear of offending him or anyone around him.”

One Biden ally who speaks to aides in the White House frequently said that Biden “looks old and seems old and that’s not a great look for the White House.”

Second one is real first is fake. Nothing heroic about falling off a bike, no way the Atlantic would write that kind of headline.

This is how I see the way Republicans try to portray their adversaries

    Bill Clinton: He's too slick
    Hillary: She's too ugly
    Obama: He's too Kenyan
    Biden: He's too Old

    And bonus time:
    Harris: She's too Inferior
Sanders: He's too angry. Wait they liked that. He's too socialist.

LOL No **** he is old.

He is basically in his 80's

He is going to be going against a guy that would be even older than Biden is right now, if Trump gets a second term.

In 2022 there is going to be 160 years on the stage when the two debate each other.... maybe they can have the debates start at noon so they can hit up the local cafeteria for the early bird special of milk toast and tapioca.

That is assuming that both of them live that long....

Part of me is hoping Trump wins in 2024 so that Biden can run again in 2028.

The guy in Florida, who would probably win in a landslide is the oldest looking 45 year old guy I have seen... doesn't look healthy either, I think he has been eating too much fast food and taking for granted that his hot wife will sleep with him.

The Hill isn't saying Biden is too old; the Hill is saying people think Biden is too old. That perception is largely shaped by the success of the GOP marketing machine in defining their opponent. It's devilishly brilliant.

Ok so we agree it's not the Hill saying it at least ;)

Dems are saying it because the general public is saying it because of a great branding effort. As a marketer I actually really am impressed at how strong and tight the GOP's messaging is. They are by far and away top notch at what they do.

    https://althouse.blogspot.com/2022/06/as-president-i-will-codify-roe-v-wade.html

    June 25, 2022
"As President, I will codify Roe v. Wade and my Justice Department will do everything in its power to stop the rash of state laws that so blatantly violate a woman’s protected, constitutional right to choose."

Wrote Joe Biden, June 29, 2020.

Later that year, Biden was elected President.

Two years from that date, the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade.

Because Roe v. Wade was not codified, abortion is now illegal in many of the states.

Angry Democrats call on Biden to do more on abortion

    https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...mocrats-call-on-biden-to-do-more-on-abortion/

    excerpt:

Anger seemed to rip through the party in the hours after the Supreme Court ruling on Friday, with some Democrats saying the administration needs to do more to galvanize the base.

“It’s infuriating. What the hell have we been doing?” said one angered Democratic strategist. “Why are we not talking about this every single day? Why hasn’t Biden made this the issue for Democrats? If we don’t step up, we’ve got ourselves to blame.”

Since a leaked draft of the gut-punching Supreme Court opinion surfaced in early May, Democrats have said they wanted to see more guidance from Biden. But the president has been consumed by domestic issues including record-high inflation and the latest mass shootings in the country, in addition to Russia’s war in Ukraine.

Democrats say Biden must do more to lead and fire up the base if he hopes to get Democrats to turn out this fall.

“A more forceful stance would be welcome from the rank and file,” said William Galston, who chairs the Brookings Institution’s governance studies program.

Galston, unlike some other Democrats, agreed with Biden’s approach to date, saying it wouldn’t have been wise for Biden to speak actively on the issue before the final opinion was issued by the court.

“It would have been embarrassing to get out in front of an appeal that didn’t happen,” he said. “I don’t fault the president for holding his fire, but now is the time to pull the trigger.”
