Wouldn't hurt to see him called up before we ship off futures for bullpen help, especially as Dusty really only trusts 4 relievers.

If he really only "trusts 4 relievers" why would you bring up a 5th one?

    Question,
Does Will Wagner project to be anything in our system in the future. Just hit a sick Bowman's 1st of him numbered to 5 last night. I see he is in Corpus, but he seems a touch old for AA ball. Just asking.

He could be a bench bat. He’s old but he is only in his 1st full pro season so the fact that he’s already in AA is a good sign. He’s former Astro closer Billy Wagner’s son.

He's 1.2 years younger than the average Tx Leaguer.

He'll sink or swim in Corpus this year and/or next. If he can play a serviceable 3B that'd be huge for him.

He's minor league depth right now. Maybe he breaks out and becomes a fringe/AAAA/bench piece but I don't think they're expecting much currently.

Not many people agree with me but I have had him penciled in at second base in 2025 since the beginning of last year and he has done nothing to dissuade my enthusiasm.

I have crazy mad dreams of him being able to handle 1B/2B/3B, emergency SS, LF/RF. Lefty bat, hits to all fields, marginal pop, gets walks, doesn't K much, and I'm anointing him the New Bill Spiers.

Not gonna happen, but a man can dream.

Keep it until he does really well for a one week span and shows up on the BA hot sheet. Then unload it.

    OK that makes sense.

Haven't collected cards in many a year, but it's good to see some things don't change. Bowman still makes cards for every minor leaguer under the sun.

    Topps/Fleer/Donruss is all that matters.

That, and how many you can fit in the spokes on your bike

It's crazy. Hardly any minor league Astros out there in Bowman for the last two years. No high draft picks of course.
    JC Correa
    Wagner
    Pedro Leon
    McDermott
For Bowman firsts. Its a futures market.
Made a couple thousand on Alvarez cards alone. No one expected much from him until they did. Houston fans excluded. I'm sitting on a shoe box full of Pena, another one no one but us expected to do well.
