They do. I have watched him play extensively. I know this is heresy, but he reminds of several Rocket's greats in one way or another. He reminds me a bit of Ralph Sampson, though not as tall. His smoothness reminds me of Clyde the Glyde, and, though heresy I know, he reminds me a little bit of a very young Hakeem. He is taller and not yet the warrior that Hakeem was under the basket. But as someone has mentioned, Hakeem will likely work with him on post moves. That could prove really interesting. I will be utterly shocked if this guy and the others will not make the Rockets a serious contender in two to three years.

and Chet is an injury plagued career waiting to happen...

Banchero was the best player in the draft but I'm fine with Jabari.

We still need to find a 2nd scorer to pair with Green though

Kudos for that opening @Lachard Binkley - gave me chills man!

And loved seeing @Clutch still on cloud 9. :D

Frickin loved the draft - 2 legit ELITE long 3-D players!!!

And fyi - everyone on CF at 2am-ish the morning before draft knew something big was happening with Vegas odds changing drastically.

No one wanted to admit it, even Woj, but Vegas always win for a reason. Let's say I was the least surprised - I had a huge smile on my face.

I'm not as classy as you or Clutch, I allow myself to gloat. :)

But I dont blame the Banchero Bandwaggoners, we are all fans and we all want the Rockets to be great again.

Perhaps this is blasphemy but I'd give up on the Wembanyana quest right now and tempt OKC with 2 shots at top 5 by trading 2023 unprotected for Chet.

Bird in hand and all that.

Honestly, do not believe that Rockets will be worst team next season and/or luck out with top 3 again.

    Solid code for sure.

    I think chasing a “big 3” is a mistake.

    Let it flow organically.

Sengun could end up being that guy.

Plus there’s also free agency once Wall and Gordon are off the books.

The guy looks anorexic. I just don't see how he holds up against the "beasts" in the NBA.

Maybe, maybe not. The top 3 prospects were close for a reason. Seems like we had a great draft and glad we didn't trade up to #1 or #2.

You don’t blame us for believing he was the best player in the draft? I heard a lot of “well if he was that good how come he’s not going #1?” I’m over it. Banchero was never even an option. Happy to have Jabari and he’s a good fit on the team. It might be a little foolish to gloat about getting left with the third choice though. If anything Banchero supporters have more of a right to gloat because that guy actually went 1st and it was no secret Rockets were after him too. In a few years it might be cringeworthy to look at some of these responses. In any case, onwards and upwards. I’m a Jabari fan now but that doesn’t mean I’m not a realist. Go rockets. I like the hypothetical improvement on defense and direction of the team. Going to need a point guard next imo.
